Thanks for reading and reviewing and what a great review! I picture a much smaller bridge than the Enterprise, but just as tech heavy.
Your point about the last words is a fair one. My point was that we can learn from our successes, we often learn more from our failures and these guys haven't had much of that, yet...
Thanks for reviewing and for the birthday wishes.
While Abel III and Dennis don't have anything to fear from Uriel, it may not be the last they hear from him.....
Chapter 25
A Personal Encounter
Abel III's Personal log:
Tuesday, 6 March 2734
We awoke early as we were scheduled to enter the transit point heading out of the system toward our next destination, Gagarin's World at 09:00 hours. With our morning erections leading the way we headed to our rock show shower and got thoroughly clean with all the usual outcomes. After grooming ourselves and then dressing, we made the bed and walked hand in hand to go get our breakfast. Eve
Thanks to MikeL, Cole Matthews, George Richard, Mark Arbour, Breeze and Krista for the birthday wishes. I am still temporarily out of likes! It has been a busy, but good day!
P.S Go CARDS!
Interesting point about the Ocean Currents and possibly interrelated effects of climate change, change in salinity and just cyclical changes. It does seem that everyone want to dumb complicated systems down to a single cause and effect when that is rarely the case.....
Thanks!
Took the family and went to the local outback in Ellisville. It was good but not out of the ordinary good. It was close and they have enough variety to suit everyone in the family including my granddaughter in middle school.
Zach's trip to Hawaii and nothing said about his ankle which I'm assuming must be way better. However, his folks are going and his dad is a bummer.
Matt's going to Sydney and Wade is paying for half the team! Way to go! I really liked this chapter, but I've run out of likes since it's my birthday!
Thanks for the gift and I'll take some more.....anytime!
Thanks for the information and the points of view from all the commentators. The 21st Century does seem to have its own set of challenges with groups all over clamoring for self-rule including many in the Middle East, Spain and Aftica. The UN looks less and less like world body and there seems to be less and less trust in government as it is always portrayed as the problem rather than a means of working out a solution. The Social Compacts of the Enlightenment seem to be a relic of the past.
The Brave New World is more disorder than order and with weapons of mass destruction and biological and chemical weapons proliferating, it looks like a scary time for mankind is dawning.
JJ may be burned from his infatuation with Alex, but then again maybe he will be just bruised a bit and grow up some as a result.
I did like the musical selections. The theme from "A Summer Place" is really something only us really old guys can remember as being new. The film was released in 1959 and the the song became a hit in 1960, the year I became a teenager!
JJ really is crushing on Alex. Alex is enjoying his company and is taking it slow, which is a good thing for JJ.
Brad and Sean. It does have a sense of being right...for both of them. I guess Mr. Arbour shall decide in due time.
More Please!
Other ships have crew with well developed natural shields. The ship's group psychic shield has not been mentioned as being found or noted on any other space ship although if the crew contains several telepaths on board, it would probably manifest...
Abel III does seem to be one of a kind so his "ice prince" phase probably did shape him to a degree. Remember their psychic gift doesn't usually manifest until after age 21 to about age 30.
Thanks for reviewing and raising some interesting observations. DDK
Actually, I doubt Abel III is the most powerful human ever, except perhaps in his gift. I think it weighs heavily on him as well. Actually, a huge space station just opposite the moon would perhaps cancel out some of the tidal and tectonic effects of the moon...However, even a huge station, would hardly have the mass of the moon.
Thanks. Sex that isn't fun and meaningful can be a bad thing. I never understood people who were into pain or causing pain and then getting off on it. While I realize that some people are into that, it's not something I could write about with any hope of coming across as believable as it is just too foreign to my nature.
As always, I enjoy each and every comment and look forward to more! Thanks again, DDK.
Oops, missed this one. Dennis and Kade work well together and more is planned. The Guardian is not omniscient, however he should not be underestimated.
Thanks for reading and reviewing!
