Is it just me or does time move a lot slower in the 17th and early 18th centuries than it does in the 21st century of the CAP world? I too have been checking for my Granger updates.

I've always equated being grown-up with being responsible. Being responsible doesn't mean you can't have fun, be lighthearted and a bit of a shit disturber. It does mean taking into consideration the feelings and well-being of those you love and are responsible for however. I think Will is well on his way to accepting responsibility and acting responsibly.

That Aditus writes in English and does it well as his second language is quite an accomplishment. He does not hale from a country that has two official languages with English being the second one either. That his ideas are pictorial rather than pictures and words like most of us is also singular. I use words to sort, describe and give cohesion to the pictorial fantasies in my mind and for Aditus to do just do pictures and to still be so very intelligently verbal in his writing in a second language that it seems is becoming his first language in written stories is amazing. TetRefine makes a very valid point that I share. I think almost everyone has some doubts dealing with their sexuality whether straight, gay, bisexual or asexual as they grow up and even as grown ups. The doubts are not just about adequacy, but also about whether how much or how little should I conform to what others expect; how much am I willing to risk if I appear or act different and do I really like that, or am I just curious?

Caring people are such a change that Mark is having a hard time believing it. I bet he gets used to it though!

I found it interesting that it seems lord Alex is not used to being turned down, nor being informed that he misread JJ. Cody is working on being involved and it was nice to see Will and Tina in his corner. Darius is still surprised by Will and me too! More please!

They would have never attempted it without the group support as well as the mind-meld and lensing effect achieved with Dennis' help. I'm glad I was able to convey the danger. The reason the Rams got so little flack about cutting Michael Sam was that their line was already so deep. Sam wasn't cut because he was gay, he was cut because bigger guys with as much talent made more sense.

Abel Sr. realized it a while back in the story. Abel III has been a real revelation to the family and made them rethink a few things. Abel Sr. acknowledging to Abel Jr. that he shared some guilt was the breakthrough in their relationship. The real breakthrough was made by Dennis and Kade (with help from Hal) as we shall see in the upcoming chapters.

Chapter 22 More Than Observing Our transit out of the quadrant around Starview and the stars of Alpha Centauri went smoothly. The group psychic force field was tucked in just inside the outer hull plates and we spent our time during the transit in Grandfather's cabin belted into the various chairs and couches while Dad and Kade remained on the bridge. While Dennis was completely joined with me, Grandfather, Drew and Hal were normally linked and sending some power my way through the link.

I think I agree with CarringtonRJ. I found the back and forth a little too tedious but I also suppose it was realistic....I am showing my age.

I like the dad sticking to his word, but every kid on Earth screws up from time to time and I'm sure dad in his time did too. Maybe he will remember that. I hope! On another note, I think this could go somewhere and become a full story. DDK
