Cards looked good against the Giants in AT&T Park with both Freese and Beltran homering in a park which is not homer friendly on Sunday. Hopefully, Carpenter will have a good outing today! Today is a travel day for the ALCS.

I've edited the above post for the past 2 weeks. Time to start a new one. Cards play again tonight in "the city" and are up 1-0 I was so hoping for a chapter either here or in CAP over the weekend. Thank heavens the CARDS are providing some distraction as my withdrawal is becoming pronounceddddddddddddddddddddd.

The Yanks losing Jeter is going to hurt their chances. That the Tigers gave up 4 runs in the 9th and yet were able to hold on and come back and win shows some determination as well. The game last night was like a National League game. Tonight's matchup should be exciting.

My biggest fear is that the planet's population is increasing at an unsustainable pace and that my granddaughter will live to see real privation on a global scale.

Alabama took care of Mizzou, much to my chagrin. The Cards win last night was something of a continuation of their play in October of 2011. Conner's remarks about Daniel Descalso and Pete Kozma are right on. The bottom of the batting order sure contributed! The Cards had to scratch and chip all the way after spotting the Nationals a 6 run lead. With the turnover in personnel including the retirement of La Russa, Pujols going for California gold and then the injuries with Chris Carpentar, Lance Berkman and Furcal going down it was a tough season. The Cardinals took advantage of the expanded wild card and went on to beat the Nationals who had the best record during the regular season. The NLCS will be tough as I expect the Giants have as much momentum as the Cards and their Park has always given the Cards some trouble. If I had my druthers, for the 2012 World Series I'd of course like to see the Card vs. Yankees with the Cards winning in 7

Thanks Joann I'm so glad you read and enjoyed my story. I don't have anything written that I am close to posting. It will probably be in the spring before that happens. I am working on a sci-fi fantasy story but it is driving me nuts at the present time.

Congrat on getting your story featured! Also glad that Miro fought his way through death, and therace and struggles on the way back to the farm. Hopefully he and Shay can R&R a bit before taking care of business.....

It was supposed to be the biggest, bestest, blowout party these guys ever saw and as my clubbing experience is a little out of date (by about 40 years) I had to really do the research on the music lists and how these things work. I am glad it worked for you!

Christmas is my favorite time of the year too and I am so happy that you enjoyed all the details in my story. I tried to make it a real memorable family get together.

I think big money is always a little uncomfortable to be around when you come from modest means. I agree that Thanksgiving is a holiday to share.

Sean is an interesting character. I think he gets more interesting as the story continues.

It was a hell of a situation and probably almost as troubling as the shot.

Perhaps the shooter was very well paid and didn't want to be a target himself should he have failed his mission. Or perhaps it was just he couldn't trust that Dean hadn't seen him?

I think Dean was so repressed over his "problem" that he really is a little easy!

Shay's outburst when Mira was knifed provided the extra life force needed. And yes from my question in the last chapter, I was hoping for a miracle. Mira fought his way back home but I suspect his reserves are completely depleted and will take some time to rebuild before he and Shay set out to destroy Hartley. One can only hope they have some time before another attack arrives....
