At the end of the chapter I assumed it was Zach.
Based on Mark raising the question, I'm guessing we have to widen the possibilities: Zach, Big Buck, a Big Buck goon, Travis' sister or he got mugged by an unknown assailant hired by Zach?
Rusty is far more omni sexual than he knows....
Matty is playing with fire wearing that cat suit again, however I think it will be Rusty who gets toasty...
I don't know how long Laura can stretch this out, but I'm ready for some hot 'n heavy in the next chapter.
Poor Ritchie Ritch having to mingle with the Sec. of the Air Force and then take harassment from his squadron! Having connections is a bane and a boon. Loved hearing more about Ritch...but sad about Wingnuts.
The twins are a hoot too!
As well as everyone they connected with on station, they would have had to chase the cruise ship and by the time they got to everyone on it, the memories would no longer be just in short term, but also long term which is much more complex and interconnected.
It just wasn't feasible. The duo did carefully consider their options and this was the only realistic one they could complete, sad as it was.
I read this first book after the second book which I loved. This is not my favorite genre and I had started this before and never finished the first chapter. I again had some difficulty getting through the first chapter but wanted to see the genesis of the Shadow Effect. In comparing the two books, I think the author's writing skills improved over the the course of this book and were sharp for the second one. As a bonus, she describes sex scenes really well!
I recommend this book as it is book 1 of the trilogy and I am really looking forward to the third book.
The enema scene was gross, but funny; or funny, but gross; or just plain grossly funny!
It does appear that T & W are developing a deeper relationship which could eventually leave Zach out.
It also appears Mark is enjoying this gap year almost to the point that poor George is feeling a bit neglected....
