    Chapter 9

So glad that Arpoe’s actions reinforced that the room is Kohen’s, & he is the one who can refuse or allow entry. My curiosity is definitely peaked as to what Arpoe was going to say before the idiot’s mass encountered some reasonably unmovable object. One question that was probably answered earlier but I couldn’t find quickly: why did Kohen refer to Arpoe as “they?”
  2. Well done, and "Hear! Hear!" to what previous commenters have said. I am definitely looking forward to how the relationships with Aaru and Castas are going to play out. The ending was an intriguing cliffhanger: why is Tistan dreaming of Aaru's people, and who are the individuals that he saw?
  3. This chapter needs more than one emoji. In fact, one section near the beginning needs at least two: one laughing & one angry. The section ends with: “They were too tired to gag.” My first response was to laugh out loud. From those few words, I got an immediate mental picture that added the other 994 words. Then I was pissed 😠 😤 (in the American English sense): you put a mini-cliffhanger — what was going to happen to Percy — right in the beginning. Pure evil. Luckily, laughter won out or I might not have left the Love emoji as my overall response. Cheers & congratulations on another compelling chapter!

    Revelations

Your writing in this story is quite incredible, Myr! I’m so pleased to have found it. Andy78 expressed what I was thinking as I finished this chapter: if I had not already known it was your story, I could have easily believed it was the work of JKR, who had finally seen the light... that Harry was much better off with Draco than with Ginny. Thanks, Myr! Now, onto the next chapter!

    05

Once again, I ended the chapter with a repeated chuckle as I continued thinking about the antics of Zane and Pip. Like Timothy, I loved the mix of dialogue from an eclectic bunch of films. It reminded me of some of my more humorous gaffes in Spanish and French, some of which continue to be used good-naturedly when I'm present. Thanks for a delightful morsel before I have to start work!

    Distractions

I love your take on consultants giving Hell a makeover. So close to reality & too, too funny!
  7. Add me to the list of I-didn’t-see-it-coming. I can’t imagine, however, that Cameron will be fooled long. At least I hope he sees through the ruse and goes to rescue the Colonel before he’s hurt.

    Chapter 10

So fabulous that they talked the future out so that their individual, hidden concerns should not be distracting them in the difficult days and weeks ahead. Not sure what it was, but something in your writing gave me the sense that Yoshi wasn't worried about this aspect of their relationship. Wonderful chapter, Sui! So much we learned: I suspect I will need to re-read this chapter again to absorb it all.

    Chapter 8

So, I'm definitely back to liking Yoshi now that he took the responsibility he was groomed for and took the initiative to keep Midori close. I especially liked that he insisted that Midori call him "Yoshi", just Yoshi. I really admire Almira: she is an amazing person. I loved how she was just slightly "disadvantaged". You can also see that she and Naria are close relatives: both strong, determined rulers who live to serve their people. I can imagine there's a good story about them growing up and taking on the roles that they have --but first Yoshi & Midori have some work to do (...and some more loving to do, too, I hope).
  10. Love that Ritch has not only become more assertive but also has learned to value himself and his worth--to the degree that he could use that self-understanding to help Park.

    Vigilance

Loved the closing paragraph. I'm glad that the hints continue to point to a future where Liberty is the Colonel's in more than a platonic, "I'm your driver" kind of way. Also glad you acknowledged the mugger's super strength. His super speed was obvious, but only the ease with which he moved the Colonel pointed to the abnormal strength. Guess maybe someone else DID survive the accident, or someone recreated it. 😱

    No Brakes

Well, you certainly got my heart beating faster first thing in the morning. Great follow up chapter: you gave us some more insight into the characters while raising even more questions that we now want answered--soon!
  13. As you now know, you needn't have been nervous. Good start.
  14. Since you got Lots of "Welcomes" in the story comments, I figured I would leave mine here. The first chapter grabbed me and left me wanting more. I liked the title, too; it was part of what grabbed me. So, I am looking forward to reading more -- & maybe your space novella one day. Cheers!

    Cut the Cake

Loved algebra but was terrible at geometry & trig. Stretching back almost half a century, I was originally excited that i could solve it. Then , I realized that the rectangle was in an arbitrary place. After some more thought, I think I have the solution, but I can't figure out how to make it hidden text writing from my iPhone. So I have to wait until I get home. Oh, the story was absolutely delicious! My mouth was watering thinking about a giant carrot cake. 🎂 🍽👏🏽
  16. Like others, I love seeing CJ (and many of your characters for that matter) being in the midst of and reacting to current events, Carlos. I was struck by your connection of Charlottesville situation with the events surrounding the Freedom Riders. These two parts of our collective history trigger many of the same emotions: anger, sadness, frustration, and respect for everyone who stood up for what is right against bigotry, ignorance, and evil -- especially those who gave their lives to support liberty and justice for ALL. So, having CJ in the middle of this recent event only makes sense. For it is young people like him (even if they're not all quite so close to perfection) that shine rays of hope into the dark pit of humanity who continue to wallow in the brutality and hypocrisy of believing that some groups of people are inferior. Yes, this special CJ chapter touched me. ¡Gracias, amigo!
  17. FINALLY!! Now if only more bad guys/gals don't emerge during this week... 😱

    Chapter 27

One other comment before reading the next chapter: I got some ominous feelings about Aiden overhearing that Jackson is going to be practicing alone tonight at the pool...

    Chapter 27

Not sure how I can add to what others have already said -- especially Parker and Cole's keen insights -- but I can certainly agree that it was a subtly powerful, compelling, and necessary chapter. It felt like a major inflection point in the arc of the story: making some possible paths for their futures less likely and others more likely. I definitely did not think you took Cindy's behavior too far, and the phone from Jackson's parents was indeed genius (besides being a significant part the inflection). One point I haven't seen others comment on is that Charlie (and, undoubtedly, Simon -- in absentia) has definitively opened the friendship door for Jackson to talk with them and see what other gay people are like. It appears that they could become important if not critical characters on the path to the finish. I am glad that we are seeing more of them! Kudos, Krista!

    Chapter 20

Afraid all my insights and thoughts have already been expressed, so just let me just acknowledge -- & echo -- the accolades from earlier. I will say I'm not sure what I think about Bailey being drafted to the football team even if it were just a loan. From the descriptions, it sounds like he is at or near world class level as a gymnast. Though the poetic justice would be nice, the chance of an injury ending his gymnastic career, doesn't seem worth it. Thanks, Mom. Great to have you back! 👏🏽

    Melvyn Ford

This time around, I had read it before--& I loved it even more! It is a treasure, Carlos. ¡Muchas gracias por la segunda vez! John
  22. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽 for Wilbur -- & him being a good scout. 👏🏽

    Chapter 16

Best chapter in terms of creative tension although I'm glad I am reading it when the next chapter is already out. I am concerned that Finn might repress this experience to minimize the pain of his friends. I'm actually more concerned that these others, especially Alastair, will succumb to debilitating guilt that could threaten their relationship. I'm confident Alastair won't care about Finn's Maidenhood, but I do wonder about the implications to their mating. Well done!

    Epilogue

Fabulous epilogue, Carlos! You tied up so many dangling threads that I felt satisfied for Walls to come to an end. Of course, I'm also looking forward to the next chapters of their lives and delighted to know it is cooking. ¡Gracias por compartir tus personajes con nosotros y Felicidades a un otro éxito! 👏🏽
  25. Enjoyed the full story, so it was a tasty treat to come across the prompt that started it. 👍🏽
