    Chapter 1

I haven't read this before. I wish I had. Like others have said it's really honest. It's raw and it hurts. I have so felt like the dog pawing at the door... I still am. You've made me think about it actually but that's for another time and place, the important thing is that it made me think. It makes me think about a lot of things. I think one of my biggest fears for my son is that he ever gets to the stage that he is not ale to talk to me. Talking is not always the answer I appreciate that but it certainly helps. I think that by the time you get to the point your guy has there really isn't anything to say to make an impression; to draw him back from the edge of the void. It is so sad that no one noticed before so that they could have stopped it ever getting to this place. I can very much relate to this boy in many ways. There are aspects in what he is feeling that I have felt. I think that there are aspects in him that everyone has felt and that is a huge strength in the story.
  2. I think that one thing that spoils my consideration of what makes 'the one/ is that I have already had him and nothing I have had, seen, dreamed or desired since has come close to matching him. We were parted by others and I've never got over it. There have been others... I've had two 10 year long relatioships and two children but... they weren't him and, truth be told I have spent more than half my life waiting for him. We were very, very different... from different worlds but he was perfect to me, for all his faults and the biggest one was that he was so rash and never thought things through. i tried my best to ground him and mostly I did but in the end it was his hot head that got us into trouble and parted us so I guess I wasn't grounding enough for him.
  3. Nice, I am no a criminal lawyer but I like the tone. I'm glad you've made the lawyers real people. I know it would amaze you but there are those out there who don't think we are The legalities are intersting to me both because I am a lawyer and because I am not a criminal or american lawyer. However, I think you have written it so that it will be interesting to non lawyers too. I am feeling more confident that the feared bombshell won't hit but we haven't seen the defence lawyers yet. It's intersting what you say about speaking to the defence lawyers. That wouldn't be possible here.
  4. You would be more than welcome from my point of view
  5. All the way from the car to the front doors of the building Silver holds my hand so tightly it hurts. He is very nervous, his eyes constantly roving, searching the surroundings. I don’t know what he is searching for... danger I suppose. He is so distressed I am thinking about taking him back to the car. But Sam is here, a looming safe presence who will protect us from anything. I am sure that if he had been worried about anything he wouldn’t have let me bring Silver in the first place. Shi

  7. That was fantastic. the way that the whole think changed and did a slow and stately U turn was beautiful to watch. I lie real Haze and I think I am going to like real Blake too
  8. HAPPY BIRTHDAY
  9. WOW yeah!. I'd buy a DVD of that.
  10. Oh GOD... my favourite place to be is a bookshop. My favourite is the second hand ones because the smell of old books is so much nicer expecially the really old ones with leather bindings. Law libraries are cool too because of all the really ace leather bindings. OH GOD I am an out of control book sniffer. One of these days I will walk into one of those shops and never come out again.
  11. I type sex a lot.... does that say anything about the way my mind works (I typed words three tilmes before I got works right just then) And I called Quonus a grumy old man (i the nicest possible way) then decided that I liked the word and thought up possible meanings.
  12. This was a beautiful, sweet chapte, a calm place in the turmoil of the story. Okay, the DA hey. Ooookay. I think I can guess what's coming up and I really hope that it doesn't. But it's you writing this so....
  13. Oh no... it's just getting worse for him. I have grown to like the guy, especially his sense of humour and he stops breathing.. sounds like my love life I m truly on the edge of my seat to know what comes next for him.

    Fixing My Destiny

This was just so damned depressing. I feel like I want to kill myself.. and him to put him out of his misery. I'm not suggesting in any way that story wasn't good becuse it was, or that I didn't like it, which I did. It's just that the poor guy just can't catch a break... and that's just th prologue. I really did like the story. I'm just hoping that Jak will have at least some some moments of joy
  15. I was actually encouraged at the beginning of the chapter that Blake might be improving but... yeah... so not. And i feel so sorry for Haze. I can' see any easy way of getting out of the situation he's in. Both of them are pretty emotionally battered and in a dark place. I hope that each might shine a light for the other helping them to find their way out. I don't think that either of them is going to get there overnight though. This could take years to get throught... or at least quite a few more chapters. Penelope.... I recognise her. I've met her... or a lot of women just like her. She is so sure of what she wants that she is focussed on it to the exclusion of eveyone else even those she is supposed to love. There is no room for the real Haze in her plans or her life... in fact there is no room for Haze at all, only Hayden. It's going to take something pretty drastic to shock those two out of their cycle of abuse and acceptance. I'm glad there's another one up soon.
  16. It sounds as if you and tennis guy are friends. Surely two friends could go out for a drink. Surely someone who is sarcastic and flirty can be tased into a 'just as friends' quiet get together. You're a girl, use your imagination and your feminine wiles.
  17. Hey there, welcome back. Hope you cut us newbies some slack and fit right into the craziness we have created in your absence
  18. Reading is still a fair way. If we can find a cheap hostel it might be cheaper than travelling. We'll defnitely work something out.
  19. what's love? I don't think you can have a deep, lasting committment without knowing the person but I still think you can fall deeply, hopelessly and permanently in love with someone at first sight. At the end of the day love is about working past your differences, the little things that you dislike about each other and learning to communicate and compromise. But all that comes after. Yeah... I think that love at first sight is not only possible but desirable.
  20. If that's what Aleski looks like I am so going to read that story again. Phew
  21. It would be really good if we could stay together it would be more fun that way. For me the most important thing is how much it's going to costs. I really don't mind basic accommodation. All I need is a bed a chair and a toilet
  22. I'll help We're all looking forward to meeting you too hun Do we get him wrapped with a bow... he at least has to have a stamp surely I hear chloroform might be useful That's cool... Bleu's on standby. Maybe I'll get to use some chains Sooooo... anyone has suggestions or recommendations about places to stay in London
  23. My daughter has the same addiction.
