My ex never really looked at 'me' and so would never have been able to take a photograph like that, just as he would never be able to appreciate he value of a photograph like that. So, I was thinking about all the sexy new sigs and thinking 'WOW I wish I could do that' and knowing it was never going to happen. And then this pm popped up and I opened it and there was this angel flying around who blew her trumpet and announced... Lo I bring tidings of great joy, for this night shall be born on GA a sig of great sexiness. No, seriously, it was Cia who offered to make me a sig. And then we met on MSN and we chose a picture (which incidentally Cia took. I think it's in the gallery so go and look). Then we agreed the writing and I got over excited and said things like OOH OOH. And then came the time when I needed to download it (upload it?) into my gallery. Sooo. I tried for ages to get it into my gallery in a variety of ways and got totally confused (This is the person who gets photos from her phone into her 'My Photos' via Facebook and the, after a few attemtps, into my Gallery. Anyway, back to the story... So there I was completely incapable of getting the sig into my Gallery. After a tutorial from Cia I managed to get it into my Gallery but it was tiny. I tried to make it bigger and... surprise, surprise... failed So in the end Cia put it in her Gallery then waved a magic want and... poof... there it was... MY NEW SIG. Soooo the moral of the tale NEVER ask me to do anything technical NEVER expect me to understand anything you do or say that is technical NEVER assume that anything technical that affects my signature, forum, webpage etc was done by me Cia is a fairy Okay, and I would like to edit with the comment that it took me precisely one and a half minutes to work out how to publish this blog. I got it to Draft easily enough and then couldn't work out how to publish. It occurs to me that it's miracle how I managed to find my way around GAStories... again thanks to Cia and Lugh

It is a tough story and the second one, in some ways tougher, and it goes in unexpected directions too. That's the thing with my writing...always expect the unexpected.

Of course it's going to hurt, I use artistic licence with regard to time periods as it is but no one is going to believe that anyone can get better from something like this in a couple of days... weeks or even months. Congratulations hun.I'm getting excited for you. It sounds as if things are going really well. As for the judge, well I know him... or at least a couple like him. I have gone head to head with district judges sometimes when they just won't see the sense in something and actually seem to be deliberately obtuse. I don't know if you have the same problem but sometimes it is blatantly obvious that they havent read the file and we are arguing about things that he would have known about and probably would have agreed with if he had read it. I have come out of court muttering f**king ass more than once. As for the rep thing, I know tha Mark Arbour was complaining about the same thing the other day. Some people must have such sad lives to sit there and do something like that. I mean why? What's the point? What does it achive? Does it think that a lower rep will make you less respected? Like THAT is going to happen because of a few numbers. It never works when you look for strength, hope or self worth outside yourself. Having a companion can help bring i out but if you don't have it in there no one can give it to you. Besides people are attracted to confidence (even if it's faked). Who's going to be attracted to someone who's needy. Absolutely. I miss that. I miss that most of all. For my tuppence worth. Communication and compromise. Talk about your views and find a way to walk the line between. If there is something that you don't understand then try to clarify and if you really can't understand then respect because it's important to him and you love him If there is something you don't want to do then tell him that you don't want to do it but you will wholly support him when he does it... as long as he respects your decidion not to do it yourself... it's important to you and he loves you If there is something you don't agree with... agree to disagree... you love each other. In the example you gave above I think charity should strive to make people's lives better through education and insight, not merely direct hand outs. He thought it was more about alleviating the current suffering of the people. Why can't it be both. He's not really big on the whole Christmas giving thing due to religious reasons and I don't know, it made me feel uneasy as to his view on Christmas. Is this about him or you? If he doesn't want to contribute to Christian charities then where's the problem. If he's uncomfortable with keeping Christmas then perhaps you can reach a compromise where you go along with his Hanukkah traditions and then he join in with your Christmas. Much of both is custom and culture rather than religion. I might be helpful to remember that Jews and Christians both have the same back story with the same characters. You've just written the novel in a different way.
