You have a point and for you it is perfectly reasonable. However, I think that my position is diametrically opposite. For me life is too short to miss depth and meaning just because of poor presentation. For me the passion and the content are far more important that the technical correctness. As long as I know what they mean that's fine by me.

Well, I'm not lonely or shy (I know that comes as a huge shock to most people) and although I am an experienced writer i can still find my thoughts difficult to articuate, to the point where I piss people off. I am essentially a little gobshite but I likes to fink that I do speak as good as what the rest of you does so if you doesn't like it then tough tit. Actualy English is not my first language... my first language is a conglomeration of sarcasm and bullshit

My theme song changes constatly but the one that has stayed with me since the first time I've heard it and which I play now and again to remind me to stop listening to that petty little voice that's telling me I'm not good enough, not strong enough, not pretty enough... blah blah.... is 'I Am What I Am'. Cliche I know but there you are.

Also I think that people concentrate more when they are writing stories. When you're posting something in a forum for one thing there is no spellcheck... dammit... and for another thing we don't proofread. I know that sometimes my grammar is very sloppy and there are loads of typos because I type too fast and don't check over it. I suppose that other people are very much the same

Okay we keep on talking so isn't it about time someone made some decisions. How about this. 4th 5th 6th February in Manchester. If we want to we can then arrange something for August in London. I suggest that someone who lives in Manchester looks around for a place we can meet and if possible a cheap hotel, hostel where we can stay. Once we have a date, place and information we can ask the admins to pin it and then it's just a matter of whoever wants to show up shows up.

I've been crap and I apologise to all the authors I've let down. THings have just been so hectic I haven't had time to do anything serious like reading. I think it is a good idea to take a break and come back to it. i woudl really like to review Jon's work at some point though because the work is unique and deserves attention

Meh... It's useful to keep in touch with my ex about my son and with home when I'm at work. I usually have it turned on becuase clients often ring me out of hours but I don't really use it to phone and I probabaly text maybe two or three texts a day usually to say what time I am going to be home or to sort something out with Ef's dad. THe worst thing I did was sign up to sms facebook statuses because the bloody phone is now beeping everytime someone puts up a new status. seemed like a good idea but now I only want to get rid of it. I am probably a horrible old fogey but I like the idea that there are things for everything... like a camera for taking pictures, a computer for emails and facebook, a personal organiser for appointments and caledars, an ipod or MP for music, and a phone to make calls and texts. Having everything in one small package confuses me.

I totally do not think that we should label people and villify them for the labels we give. However if people choose to label themselves and to act on the basis of their label then they have to expect to be judged by it. If they stand behind a flag they are judged to be carrying it. If you are a member of a group that has been labelled and persecuted by others then you have every right to demand that you should not need to justify yourself but I don't beleive that is the case with those who choose a label. If the group you choose to join also contains evil, vicious, ignorant, preudiced bastards then you do one of three things... you push the bastards out of your box (not just speak pretty words that you condemn their behaviour but do everything in your power to root them out and throw them out... take away their power, ostracise them and anyone who supports them) You redifine your box (distance yourself from the bastards... I am not the same as him I don't beleive what he beleives, I don't want to beleive what he beleives and I am going to fit in with you be part of your community and not be like him) or you get the hell out of the box. If you sit in your box next to the bastards in the box then you expect to go up with the box and are fair game for the dynamite.

I LOVE Anime... Yaoi is fantabulous and Hentai can be cool but can also be totally freaky. I watch Naruta and One Piece all the time with my son and there are some beautiful scenes. The artwork is incredible and the music can be totall haunting. I agree about Naruto and Sasuke getting it together... especially their Shippuden versions. Vampire Hunter D is totally awesome. I adore him...erm... it. I also love Inuyasha. Princess Mononoke is just beautiful and I am half in love with the dragon boy in Spirited Away. Death Note is okay and I ove L but it got a bit boring after a while. But no... I don't actually watch Anime at all

Oh. I was thinking more of the real thing. On the other hand if the cartoon was anthropomorphic... there are plenty of anime characters who have got my pulses racing.

Do you really need to ask? Just take a look at my sig I adore Harry Potter and I am a HP geek. My daughter and son are also both fans and now that she is home we have HP question and answer sessions all the time. I CAN'T WAIT for the next two films.
