It's just coming up to 4pm here in the UK on a bank holiday weekend (most UK workers get tomorrow off) and I've just caught up with my reading here on GA, whilst my Dad and I watch session 1 of the final of the World Snooker Championship (Ronnie O'Sullivan vs Judd Trump - definitely not a relation of you know who!). I was delighted to see that @Carlos Hazdayposted a second chapter to CDMX for this weekend. Yay for @Carlos Hazday!!!!! Yay to the guys for winning the Oscar (though of course we already knew that happened). Great to see Red again - I've got a thing for guys like Brad! 💖 And an even bigger YAY for CJ winning his latest battle with Northman - when will he realise he is never going to win?!!!! As always @Carlos Hazdaya great chapter.

Why I joined GA and remain
Howzat commented on Mancunian's blog entry in Thoughts And Ideas That I'm Happy To Share
Having been a member since June 2009 I can safely say this site never fails to provide enjoyment in reading the product of the imagination of the many authors who contribute. I've enjoyed the writings of many authors like @Mark Arbourand @Carlos Hazdaywho have both provided (and continue to do so) a huge series of connected stories and then we come to the newer cadre like @astone2292, @kboisand @Mrsgnomie who give great feedback and banter in the comments sections (as well as writing/editing great stories). When a new story pops up I'll have a look at the story summary and if it grabs my attention then I'll give it a go - usuually I'll stay with it until the end but sometimes the author either stops posting or there's a long delay which means it drops down my list of stories that I'm reading - currently I'm reading (or waiting for new chapters from) 13 different stories from 12 different authors. I have loads of stories which I've started but for the reasons mentioned earlier I have stopped (or been forced to stop) reading them. I've stayed a member for all that time as I enjoy reading a lot and I really enjoy reading these stories. So thankyou @Myrfor creating this wonderful website all those years ago. And thankyou @Mancunianfor asking the question!- 35 comments

@Mawgrimyou do weave an intricate tale! I still think there are two in the well (Trevor & Jenny) and that someone (the murderer?) has been "sending" the postcards from Australia to make people think that's where they are. Of course if Jack is in the lake then he could have well been the original murderer (of T&J) but then who killed him (unlikely to be suicide)? Obviously Brenda knows what Maurice knows/knew which is why she got rid of Terry so quickly once he started that line of enquiry - but who is it that they're so afraid of - they must still be alive and local otherwise they'd feel "safe"? There are a few candidates - George, Colin, Sylvia & Bob Luard - there may be others of course or someone we've not even met yet!

Here in the UK we have a programme called Countdown which has a 30 second countdown for all of it's rounds when the two contestants have to get the best word they can from a set of 9 letters (that the contestants pick - mix of vowels & consonants) OR it's a numbers round where they pick 6 from a hidden set of high (1 each of 100, 75, 50, 25) and/or low (multiple 10 to 1) cards to try and get (using only x / + or -) a randomly generated number - sometimes they're very easy and sometimes impossible as even the resident math's genius can't get it. Then the final round is always a 9 letter anagram that they have to unscramble inside the 30 seconds. Anyway back to the countdown - Hopefully it will play outside of the UK! I don't think Jay or Loren would be able to perform that fast?

I'm sure @Carlos Hazday would have been at Church or just spending all day eating Easter Eggs!
-
I have been made God for the day (other deities are sometimes available) and I hereby decree that the next 10 days starting tomorrow are all Friday's! They will be all the correct dates but just taken out of sequence!

CJ would say yes of course but as for Chipper - who knows??????

Aido Potato is just the sweetest kid and he knows inherrently who needs him more - Uncle Lowen and not Uncle Jay. Uncle Jay is good for the cleaning up (both ends) but it's Uncle Lowen who needs the cuddles. Great chapter @Mrsgnomieand just the perfect length!

Yeah I agree - especially since Aido Potato has learned how to overcome the obstacle of being penned in, there really isn't any point unless you plan on having him tied down (which brings us back full circle to Lowen's childhood)!

“Yep. One of the best, including the Ivy League ones. Let’s have him over sometime soon. We should get to know him better. I think I’d like to work with him in the future.” Taking the last part of that comment - could Carter be CJ's Press Secretary when we get to The White House? Great chapter as normal @Carlos Hazday PS - I posted my comment before I read any of the others.

I'm very late on parade to this chapter (out for a meal with some work friends last night and then work today - UK time don't forget). @Mrsgnomiehow long was the original version of this chapter before you slowed it down and split it in two? Without seeing the original I think we can safely say that this version is probably better (thanks @Mawgrim for that suggestion). Now I'm looking forward to part 2 of chapter 13 (okay I know it'll be called chapter 14). I'm sure that Jay & Loren will sort things out in their own time. Now it's time to prepare for Aido Potato! Batten down the hatches!!

Yep I certainly do - as I remember Bobby (actor Patrick Duffy (also The Man From Atlantis) for those who don't know who we're referencing) looked quite hot when he stepped out of that shower; but he had been it for a year!

Nah, Northman won't get any tickets from Ceej or Oshie for Chipper's concert - Northman won't be in to that type of music; he probably likes Opera (not that there's anything wrong with that of course). Great chapter @Carlos Hazday Ozzie's right (of course), CJ definitely needs to read his own book and he will hopefully apologise (eventually) to Peter. Though Peter Pure sounds like that cartoon character from The Wacky Races - Peter Perfect in the Turbo Terriffic!

Yes - I've got a funny feeling that Jenny and/or Trevor never actually made it to Australia and that those postcards are fakes (or sent by person's unknown from Oz). They could well be both in that well! We shall find out in due course. Excellent chapter @Mawgrim

To echo fellow respondents - a great chapter again @Mrsgnomie! Don't think I could cope with 4 times a week, never mind 4 times a day! Really looking forward to the next chapter - hopefully by then @Mrsgnomie& @kboiswill have sorted out their differences!

Chapter 6: Intractable Instincts
Howzat commented on astone2292's story chapter in Chapter 6: Intractable Instincts
If the chapter had finished before the last couple of paragraphs I would have said that Sarah was the one who was working for the other side. Dirk is going to be so devastated by this - as well as Ingle. They both worked with her and she managed to hide her true self though with being a telepath that would have made it a whole lot easier. Dirk has lost his mate but I'm sure he and his wolf will recover from that shock. Great chapter @astone2292- 45 comments

That will be Isaac Bell if I'm not mistaken.

Yep I recognised the reference to Clive Cussler's character, Dirk Pitt (senior, as his son is also called Dirk) and his collection of vintage cars (amongst other things - like a bath tub and a train carriage!). I love reading all of Clive's books with his various story arcs that overlap with each other occasionally.
