Short, about an attempt at freedom

I have no idea where this poem came from; it popped into my head in sentence fragments and discontiguous scenes and then everything connected together all at once. Mature for depression/suicide theme.

Elias Shastan has been an orphan on the streets for years now. He only has one wish--to find a home for Christmas. But when Christmas Eve rolls around and Elias is still stuck in the snowbanks, he begins to lose hope. Will the magic of the falling snow grant his only wish, or will Elias be frozen in loneliness's claws forevermore?

This was a story inspired by KC Grim's piece 'A Bastard Named Sleep'. I liked the idea the Dream was personified. I wanted to see what I could do with that idea. So here is my take on it - Dream's World. Here is the world we all go to when we close our eyes and dream. Whether it is a dream of flying or being chased, of new inventions or scary monsters, it all comes from the world where Dream rules. Come visit his world and see what you can see.

Coming Out

A guy im in love with who doesn't know and can never know

Summary: Ryan Smith is away at college, experiencing life on his own for the first time. He meets Brye Masterson, his roommate and new found friend, who believes in living everyday to the fullest and having a good time… even if it means risking expulsion while doing so. They make a pact, their mission: Be the best students they can be… have lots of fun… and get laid before their winter break.

Alec is displeased with what life has to offer him. He longs for something more, something new to experience. One night a boy saves him, a different boy, who is traveling with the circus that has visited Alec’s town. It is a story about questions and answers: “Is it right to be happy when others around you are not?” and the path to deal with the world’s pain.
