Charlie Hughes encounters an old friend who has four children, but there's something going on with this family. This is the third book in The Barnstable Chronicles. While you don't necessarily have to read the first two stories to enjoy this one, I highly recommend that you at least read Book One, Stitcher as many of the people and events in that story are referenced here. If you haven't read the second book, Charlie Danner Finds His Way, you can read it at any time.

His only living relatives, his Scottish grandparents, move to Australia to care for their grandson, as he recovers from his injuries.
