My mind has always preferred to be elsewhere than the here and now and as a child it was the past, or fiction set in worlds that have never existed, that set me alight and dragged me into libraries and bookshops. Even as a kid I liked creating alternative worlds. My story Terre Nouvelle is set in a world I created in my teenage bedroom to find escape from the grimness of adolescent reality. But creating stories is not the same as generating places in which they might happen, and the creative energy they're drawn from come from deep within. It's from my gayness that I draw it, and so my characters generally live in that alternative place as well as in alternative worlds.

The son of a Southern Baptist preacher who was married to a man I buried April 10, 2017. My husband Daniel kept here as I write. Except for one story, all stories are him and me. He will never be forgotten.

Rob Colton is a software developer by day, and avid reader of romance novels at night. A romantic at heart, he loves stories that feature big, burly men who find true love and happy endings. Rob grew up in northern Michigan and currently lives in the Atlanta area with his very supportive husband and their very spoiled miniature schnauzer.

Most of my stories are contemporary explorations of gay men finding themselves and coming to terms with their sexuality, often in the face of family issues. Usually written with a relatively light touch, and with some romantic element. I am based in London (UK), and stories have a British setting, often set in the Midlands or North where my own roots are.

I write gay male erotica. My work requires a plot, and some of it is a slow burn, but the hot stuff does happen.
