DomLuka's Official Story Site. DomLuka dominated the online gay writing genre in the early 2000s with his strong character-driven narratives. He slipped off quietly in 2009 and we haven't heard from him since, sadly. There are a handful of stories that he never finished and are so marked.

The two stories I've authored thus far, WORKING IT OUT and BELOVED, can be classified as "growing up gay" works, I think. The protagonist(s) are outed or come out to family and friends, sometimes moving from questionable support or lack of support for their orientation among significant others into strong commitments which permit them to mentor others. Religious affiliations of the heroes and their real or adoptive families are portrayed as supportive of gays, who often seek formal recognition .

My writing explores the human condition and focuses on characters finding their way. It is often reflective or descriptive of the emotional, spiritual, and profound discovered in life’s moments. I love words that carry unexpected insight; Contrasting or seemingly dissimilar ideas that suddenly align in moments of epiphany.

I write down-to-earth romances with a healthy dose of sex. No high drama, no bright lights-big city - just an exploration of the friendships and relationships that make life worth living.
