Things are about to take a major turn, and all it will take is some click bait, a dead president, and an empty bottle of Scotch. A coming out story, and a reflection on mankind's inalienable rights. This is poetry written during my recent depressive cycle. I'm learning to accept depression as part of myself rather than as something separate from me.

For those who may not know, 'black dog' is a metaphor for depression or melancholy.

Pink hair, piercings, eccentric fashion, and a crippling, all-encompassing fear of commitment. Which is just fear of abandonment all dressed up for the party. Internal struggles aside, River has plenty of options.

The issue is, they all pale in comparison to what will be a monumentally bad decision.

They weren't supposed to meet. He wasn't supposed to like him. It was never supposed to become more.

The universe had different plans.
