Little Things - 1. Execrable

As I wrote it ... read at your own risk.

Execrable

Jason left the bar alone—shoulders hunched against the wind. He’d enjoyed his blind date with Rene. There’d been that little kiss at the end he’d tried to prolong. Rene was a sexy man and Jason wanted some of that, well, a lot of that, in his bed. His date however, pushed him away at the first sign of a tongue. Jason got the hint.

Jason had taken a step back, aware that Rene wasn’t enjoying the full-body contact. In fact, he realized that Rene had pulled away or resisted all his attempts to get close. Yet, Rene appeared interested and engaged as they spent time talking.

“Sorry, Jason. I’m just not into one night stands or sex with someone I don’t know.” Rene had pushed him away gently with a palm to Jason’s chest.

“Hey … look. You’re a nice guy and I respect what you feel.”

Rene had grinned then. “So, this is the brush off? The time you say, I like you Rene but ….”

Smiling at his blue-eyed date Jason replied, “Nope. Sure going home with you, taking you to bed would be wonderful, but I’ve never forced anyone and I’m not starting with you.”

Rene smiled then and Jason saw hope in it. “Can I see you again, Rene? I enjoyed tonight— talking to you.”

“Yeah. I’d like that. I enjoyed it too.”

Over the next month the spoke daily and met for dinner or walks along the boardwalk regularly, intimacy however, didn’t exist beyond a nearly chaste kiss goodbye. But Jason found he liked it.

Jason stepped out of the shower and wrapped a white towel around his waist. Grabbing a second one from the warming rack, he rubbed it through his hair. ‘Tonight is the night.’

He put the thick damp towel around his neck. With a touch of gel on his fingers he ran them through his damp hair and wiped the remnants on the terry cloth.

‘That’ll do. I’ll leave the stubble.’ Jason appraised himself in the steamy mirror. ‘He will be in my bed tonight. We’ve waited long enough.’

The thought of slowly unbuttoning Rene’s shirt—finally seeing what lay beneath— caused Jason’s dick to awaken. He willed it down. Jason entered into his bedroom, pulled on the worn grey jeans and soft charcoal cotton shirt.

He walked barefoot into the kitchen. Dinner was prepped; the medallions of pork were ready as was the burgundy and mushroom sauce he’d finish them in. Wine cooled in the refrigerator.

Yes, it was a seduction. Jason had planned it all and the wine was a favourite of Rene’s. He’d ply the reluctant man with wine in hope they could finally consummate their relationship.

‘I care about him—a lot.’ Jason poured a glass of creamy chardonnay and sipped it. He answered the buzzer when it sounded.

The meal had been delicious and a success. Rene seemed relaxed and had started a fourth glass of wine.

Snuggled close on the sofa, Jason put his arm around the man he was starting to love and kissed him.

Rene responded and they kissed like they had been lost for years and were now reunited. Jason tried not to push too hard, but it was Rene who rose first and pulled Jason to the room he’d never seen before. Slowly they removed each other’s clothes. They kissed and touched and explored each other with desperate lips, each soft sound of desire and love. Each wanted the other’s pleasure to be ultimate.

Together they rolled on the bed and finally, Jason reached for a condom and rolled it on slowly. Rene grinned and dripped lube on it and rubbed it slowly over the head of Jason’s hard sheathed cock. He lay on his back and Jason helped him raise his legs.

As he knelt there, cock staring at Rene’s pulsing entrance, Jason stared into Rene’s bright lust filled eyes. He leaned forward and said, “I love you.” Then he pressed on, slowly added pressure to Rene’s tight hole.

Jason’s dick had just begun its journey, when Rene sat up and pushed Jason away.

“NO!”

Jason fell backward on to his ass and he watched Rene, get up, grab his clothes and run from the room. Scrambling off the bed, Jason followed after him, discarding the unneeded condom on the way.

“What Rene? What the fuck?” Jason tugged on the grey jeans.

“I’m going. I … I can’t.”

Jason sucked in a deep breath. “I don’t want you to go.”

“No … but I can’t do what you want.”

“Umm, you were sort of into it.”

“You got me drunk.”

Jason felt the beginnings of anger, but he did his best to hide it. “I did no such thing. Yeah I’d hope the wine would help us relax but that’s all.”

Rene deflated before him and Jason led him to the sofa. They sat.

“Rene … something isn’t right. I think we both know that.”

Silent tears ran from Rene’s blue eyes. “There is … but it’s not you. I swear it’s not.”

Jason wiped the tears away. “Tell me. You can tell me anything.”

Shaking his head, Rene tried to stand. Jason grabbed his hand to stop him. “I don’t want to push you, but I can’t do this anymore. I like you, love you, but I want more. I do … that’s the truth.”

“I ….”

“Rene if you need to talk, I’ll listen. If you need help, I’ll help you. But if you go, then we’re done. I know that sounds harsh but I need more. We both deserve more.”

As he listened to Jason, Rene realized his boyfriend—yes, his only ever boyfriend—was right.

Rene took Jason’s hand; he leaned forward and gave him a tentative kiss and said, “Grown men, shouldn’t fuck little boys.”

Jason felt like he’d been sucker punched. He had been mentally—he hadn’t seen that coming, not even a little bit. It all made sense now. Slowly he gathered Rene to him; the protector in him collected the broken hurt boy up and held him close and promised he never let him go.

Had to use a dictionary too - how do you pronounce It?

Nice tale, is there more? It was a bit hard to believe that as Jason was entering him, Rene got up and left. Jason was very patient and Rene very messed up!

There is sympathy for the man's past bad childhood experience, but frustration that he was so self-centered he could happily play tease and lead Jason on - even blame Jason for taking him to bed, when it was his move.

Well I had to google execrable because I wasn't certain I had the correct definition. Your story was terrific! I think it stands alone as a short story, but I wouldn't mind reading more. I was not expecting this ending, but I really appreciated the tenderness and love from Jason. Thanks for this story. I look forward to more bits and pieces!

Hi JeffreyL. Thanks for reading and for your comments. Honestly don't know if I could write more about this subject. But I'm glad this worked for you. And i hope you like future offerings.

Thanks again.

I ditto Jeff; I had to Google it too.

I don't know what I was thinking about Rene, but what came out of his mouth wasn't what I was expecting. I'm glad Jason proved to be a loving and caring partner.

Hey Lisa .. thank you. Abuse messes you up. You try and hide it from yourself and others .. but Jason gave Rene a safe place to share it.

Thanks again.

And now I feel sucker punched, too. Artfully, seductively done. You are crafty and a craftsman and you have my full admiration for this piece. All the little touches from the meal to the setting to Jason's description perfectly misdirected me. And the finish! Bravo.

Thank you Parker. I wanted the reader to experience the shock that Jason did. I'm pleased it worked for you. Thanks for your support and comments.

The ending was definitely a punch in the gut. I had a feeling something had happened to Rene to make him so reluctant for a physical relationship. I read this last night and it really stuck with me. I had to think on it, because it really bothered me. To be honest, my first reaction to Rene's words made me think that he was still a boy and Jason was a man. I get it now...he was molested in his past. The line about Jason holding the little boy confused me at first, but he's holding the man who reverted back to being that little boy whose childhood was cruelly taken. This is a very realistic portrayal of someone's reaction after abuse. It seems that Rene has found the right man in Jason. I have a feeling Jason will stick around for the long haul and see him through his recovery. Well done, tim.

Well, me neither. Did not expect that at all.. Jason was patient and caring before so I'm sure he will be again..

You told us only what we needed to know, and crafted a really fantastic short. Looking forward to more bits and pieces.. :-)

Great job tim.

Thanks Def. No reason to think Jason would change. I think he'd support Rene. Glad you liked this. I often write little things to see if they will go anywhere and they don't so they just sit in my word files .. some of them are okay. I like them but they are very short. So I thought I'd post some of them sometimes. Thanks again. xox

You had me reeling at the end, tim... it took a while to fully sink in... that Rene had been abused by a pedophile... and then the title made sense. I think he's found the right man to help him... superbly done, my friend... cheers... Gary xoxo

I think you're right. Jason proved he wasn't going to give up unless Rene did. Rene figured now was the time believe in someone else, I think. Thanks Gary.. for reading.

I wasn't sure what to think about this one, because like Lisa, I was surprised by what Rene said. Clear as a bell, though was the goodness in Jason's heart. Rene is lucky to have found him.

As always, nicely done tim. :)

Thanks Reader. I think Rene recognized what Jason was offering and that helped him to override the shame and fear he was feeling. It was time to trust ..

Thanks for your support as always Reader. I appreciate it very much xo

It's pronounced just like it looks. Exe-crab-ull. There won't be more I don't think ... Not sure I can go there. I think you're being too hard on Rene. He's a victim and that pain is hard to deal with. I think he wanted to be with Jason, I think he thought he was ready to follow through, and wanted to. But things you store in boxes in your head often come out at the worst time and that's what happened to Rene. The memory was too much for him and he couldn't go through with making love with Jason. I have no doubt with some counselling, Rene and Jason will have a good life.

Thanks for reading William. I appreciate your comments.

Really nice short one. It definitely channels the sense of shock that comes when you find out something unexpected from someone you love... and for it to come out during such an intimate moment, as well... :-)

Thanks very much Lux! I think Rene thought he was ready, but the past can raises it's ugly head at the worst times...

Appreciate the comments..

Incredible. You cast this tale as a fisherman casts a net. Sweeping the reader up in the story of these two as they get to know one another. Building interest and then ... knock our breath away. Simply incredible. Thank you for posting this. Namaste little brother.

Thank you, dugh. I'm glad it worked ... i wanted you to be surprised like Jason would have been. I wanted people to feel it. I pleased it worked. Thanks for your support .. as always.

Thank you Val. I'm sorry this bothered you quite so much. But i am pleased you thought it felt realistic. Abuse affects the person forever though we can put it away, it can come sneaking back when you're upset or stressed. Thank you for your comments Val. Your friendship and support mean a lot.

I have to read all the other reviews to help me understand the ending of this story. Yes, I googled the word "execrable" as well ... truly appalling, awful, dreadful ... BUT there is hope, at least I hope for the same number of monsters amongst us, there will be an equal number of angels here as well ...

Hi hoho.. there are a lot more angels in the world than monsters, i know that for a fact. I count you among the angels. Thanks for reading and for your support...
