Moggy's Mutterings - 23. Regrets

1.

Still and all, why bother?
Why continue to believe the words they speak?
Why hope today will be better?
Because if I don’t, I’m no better than them.
I would rather be the one who is hurting,
than to visit that pain on anyone else.
Even if it cuts, like a dagger through the soul.
I will not live with regrets.

2.

As my life slips away, sometime on white water rapids.
I have no regrets about the people I’ve met in my life.
Some I remember with great joy, some with agonizing pain.
Some with laughter, some with just a sad smile.
But none with regret.
But, in quiet ponds of reflections,

I wonder if they regret meeting me.

I think people come into our lives for a reason.  Whether it's to bring friendship, impart wisdom (whether good or bad), or even just make us smile for the few minutes we know them. Their impact on our lives can be large or small, but all of those meetings leaving a mark.  I don't regret anyone I've met, and I certainly don't regret meeting you

thanks  my one hope is, when its all said and done, i hurt none.
