Moggy's Mutterings - 44. Legacy

Towards the end of her life,
She wondered what the legacy her life might be.
All she loved had slipped away, ran away, flew away
And she, alone, realized that was her gift, her legacy
She let them go, no matter how much she wanted them stay.

Events of my own this summer bring your words in sharp, clear focus. I listen to your words echo in my mind, and let them bounce off the walls of my recollection. And you let me step into a place I could not, would not, go this summer. Thank you.

Something I'm often considering. Hope I showed I was kind, considerate, loving and offered value to the world.

you reminded me of a song (you do that a lot, jp) from the movie Good Bye Mr. Chips(1969 version) of a song Petula Clark and the boys choir sang (written by Leslie Bricusse) .  "Did I fill the world with love" and the ending line. Did I fill the world with love my whole life through?. like you, jp, i hope and work to do that, and many times i fear i've failed.
