a duo of happier words
1.
Dandelions.
Weeds.
Growing everywhere.
Even in the pavement cracks.
Ascending towards the sky.
Green and yellow.
Bright spots in desolate cities.
Seas of gold in open spaces.
Hardy little things.
Like plant phoenixes.
Rising above things,
to shine with their own brilliance.

Sunshine, flowing like liquid gold,
spills through windows of a life.
Friends, like dust motes, dance on shafts of light.
Families are all touched by the light of the same sun,
knitting us through time.
Lives touched by gold.
