Moggy's Mutterings - 2. Moon Shadows

1.
I thought of you tonight.
The moonlight slipped through my window.
Shadows playing havoc with my eyes.
Reminding me of the times we spent together.
Where did you go? I must have lost you to the sunlight.
Where are you now? Questions in the moon shadows.
I missed you tonight. ~moggy

2.
I am old. I’m gray and dull in a sea of shining stars.
Once, I guided lovers. Now I’m a forgotten.
A place of broken pieces of a dream,
as you rush off to bigger and better things. ~moggy

3.
The moonlight shines a little less bright.
The wind blows a little colder.
Heaven seems so far and the darkness grows a little bolder.
I’m missing you tonight, but my life is sweetened
by the knowledge that I will see you again. ~moggy

4.
The moon hangs in the clear gray sky as trees fade into shadows.
Nights sounds creep into being. A mind drifts off into the past.
Memories of other moonlit nights flit through a mind.
Memories of sighs and slow dances. Of heat filled pleasures.
Keep a heart and soul alive to see another sunlit day. ~moggy
