Moggy's Mutterings - 18. Celebration?

musing while watch the neighbors shoot off things

Colors paint the sky.
Explosions rock the air.
4th of July Celebrations!
How can we celebrate when
humans are killing humans
because of the color of their skin.
Or who they love.
Part of me wants to be under the bed with the dog.

But that would change nothing.
