The Neverending Book - 14. The Past II

The Past II

Let go of the past,
For, it has passed.
It will not allow you to move fast
The only way to live a life that is worth while,
Is by looking towards the future with a smile.
You have no one to blame for your own shame.
You are the holder of your own flame.
You are the player of your game.
All you must do,
Is do your very best as you continue.
Never doubt, that this is always true.
Calm down.
Do not frown.
That will only take away your crown.
Smile. It is okay!
Enjoy your life everyday.
Enjoy right now.
Enjoy today.
Take your life in your hand.
Build your almighty land.
Make it grand.
This page has reminded you
Of what has blinded you.
You, again, now, understand.
Forget what you had,
That will only make you feel sad.
That will only make you feel bad.
Focus, only, on what you will get,
And, you will no longer live in regret.
You are so powerful.
You are so beautiful.
When you remember who you are,
You will go so far.
When you look at your prize with your eyes,
And, know you cannot fall to your demise.
You will range to that of the skies.
Nothing can stop you.
The future will come.
And, all will behold what you will become...

Sometimes the past is not in our control, but rather inscribed for us. Some are unluckier than others. It depends on what type of past means shame and what is non-escapable.
