The Great Mirror of Same-Sex Love - Poetry - 78. ...your eyes so beautifully gray...
.
. . . your eyes so beautifully gray . . .
You came last night in my dreams, Colin G.
Your professional athlete’s body taut,
Wearing nothing but your red satin trunks,
Hems pulled high over your strong fighter’s thighs
As you sat slacked on the rubdown table,
Hands kicked back and resting far behind you.
You smiled as you saw me approach and gazed
At me with your eyes so beautifully gray –
Ever made more beautiful by the way
You’ve always met mine in unguarded truth.
For when we’re together, you’re all yourself
And free of every macho subterfuge.
So, as my hands touched the top of both legs
– Devilishly sweet your smile invited –
I drew in close for our reunion kiss.
The tenderness with which you let me, awed.
Your reciprocation matched stroke for stroke,
And never did tongue meet tongue in such love.
Hopelessly hard after several minutes,
I did what was my wont ever with you –
My lips and tongue slid over the satin
Flesh arrayed atop your muscular form,
Moving from throat and divot to your pecs;
Onto the standing points, anticipating
The surface of my tongue lingering o’er them.
But lower still my kissing-caress roved
Upon the holy ridges and valleys
Of your sward abdominal promised land
Where milk and honey flow in manly grace.
Overwhelmed at this point, I placed my arms
Around your heaven-sent waist and held on –
No dream as sweet as this should ever end,
And there at least, in our perfect recall,
The dawn with all her threats, stayed far away.
