My Immature Poetry - 29. You Are...

strong>A Lyrics Poems in both Hindi and English versions as requested by AC Benus...

Tum Ho

Tum oh khushboo ho phool kee
jiss bageeche ka rakhwaala hun main.
Mujhe thumhen gale lagaane dho aur
raksha karne dho iss vyast duniya se.

Tum oh aasmaanee sparsh ho
jiske dvaaran main turant pighal jaatha hun.
Mujhe tumhen pavitr se bandh ne dho aur
chhipaane do iss dusht logon se.

Tum oh aakarshit anubhooti ho
jo mere dhil ki dhadaknon ko badaadhiya.
Mujhe surakshit chhupaane dho tumhe aur
bachaane dho iss bhrasht bechaare ruhon se.

Tum oh dard bharaa sach ho pyaar ka
jo mujhe jinda jalaa dhegi.
Mujhe thumhe firse bachaane dho aur
talaane dho iss kroor soch ki dhimaagon se.

You Are...

You are that scent of a flower
of the garden I guard.
Let me embrace you and protect
from this hectical world.

You are that seraphic touch
by which I melt instant.
Let me bind you sacred and hide
from this wicked people.

You are that enchanting feeling
which made my heart beats fast.
Let me embed you safe and save
from this depraved poor souls.

You are that painful truth of Love
that which burn me alive.
Let me revive you and avert
from this cruel mindsets.

strong>Are you happy now Ben... Guys let me know how these are...

There seems to be something more song-like about the Hindi version. Maybe that's imagination, but I like that quality about it. Considering this a poem based on the Lyrics Poetry Prompt challenge, that's a good thing.

There are a few minor items that can be cleaned up in the English version, but I like it too. The flow seems better in the other one, but the English one gives a grand concept to the 'enchanting feeling' that is love.

I hoped you enjoyed practicing in alternating lines of 6 and 8 beats. Again I think if you apply yourself you could come up with some beautiful poems in this rhythm :)

Thanks for posting these!

This is lovely; I particularly like the almost call-and-response quality to this. Thank you for posting this, Emi.

Thanks for the nice words Parker.

You are right about songs alike about the Hindi version. It could be good song, but I am no singer. I could have accepted the changes but I am afraid that might change the meaning off of Hindi version. So sorry for that. I very much liked every prompt and every form I had tried here. But life caught me so busy that I got distracted. I wish I'll find my way back soon.

And thank you for the review.
