Conner Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 That was a great short story. WoW! Nick's conversation with Keith at the bar - really superb dialogue. Talk about turning the tables. I was stunned, really stunned. Nick gave Keith a gift. The kind of gift only someone who cares about you can give. The gift was Nick's truth about their relationship - the emotion was so raw, coming from such a painful place. He made himself totally vulnerble to Keith in doing that. That took so much courage. To Keith's credit, he took it in; he got it...and will be the better for it. Thanks, Com. Conner
Dolores Esteban Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 Excellent and perfect in every way! Great.
jfalkon Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 I loved this story! The way you subtuly shifted from the character's perception of himself to the way others saw him was briliant. We can all learn from this story. Often we are our own problem.
Comsie Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Wow! Thank you so much for such a beautiful review! It warms my heart to know that you enjoyed it! I can't wait to read the others myself! The anthologies are always awesome!
writeincode Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Wow this was seriously amazing. Embarrassingly it hit kinda close to home. Thanks for posting
Comicality Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 ((Hugz)) Thanks! Hits close to home for me too. Both sides. Live and learn, I suppose.
C James Posted December 25, 2008 Posted December 25, 2008 I loved this story! The way you subtuly shifted from the character's perception of himself to the way others saw him was briliant. That was what caught my eye, too. I think the "being one's own worst enemy" theme was very well done too, and oh, how true that can be. Thanks Comsie!
