buttershots 0 Posted February 20, 2006 Hi Dom! I'm sorry to hear about two things: A) That you broke your favorite coffee mug. It sucks when you get so attached to something like that and then can't have it anymore. and B] That DD is being annoying. Although I have to admit a little bit of glee in the fact that you sent in a new chapter of WT...that's quickly becoming my favorite. Not that DD's not awsome, WT's just different! Take care and good luck finding a new coffee cup!!! - Kaiten
Rocketcnj 2 Posted February 20, 2006 Dom... I am very sorry your favorite coffee mug broke.....that's blasphemy for we Italians..we love our coffee! and love to drink it in our favorite coffee mugs:) Don't worry about DD, when inspiration comes to you, it will come...and in the mean time, I have to say that With Trust is an awesome hot story.. I have to ask a question..was it you or Matt who was writing the story about Harry..I think it was you? May we get to see that one in the future? I really thought it was a sweet and cute and yummy story... No matter what you take your time and hit the delete button for anyone that flames you! If not, well our people know people....hee hee...just kidding...maybe not...rofl Just tell the flamers to stop being so Dom if it means dumb....relax, kick back, get warm and when your muse gets ready you will be too:) Michael
LittleBuddhaTW 705 Posted February 20, 2006 Maybe you should rent the 1999 movie "The Muse," with Albert Brooks, Sharon Stone, and of course, music by Elton John. The title track of the original motion picture soundtrack is quite inspiring ... When I can't find words and wisdom in my life And barriers abound Should I feel blinded by the light Knee deep up to my neck in heavy water I conjure up my muse She's my means to achieve a simple quota When it's make or break Make no mistake She appears like lightening in a bottle I catch the spark Oh she lights the dark The knot's undone the ideas come Like two hands on a throttle There's a place of one way streets and doubt No red lights ever change We wind up with no exit out Facts are facts and stumbling blocks delay the mind That's when my muse arrives To sew loose ends up in time (Music by Elton John; Lyrics by Bernie Taupin)
rekop1 2 Posted February 20, 2006 Take your time Dom, sure it might drive some of us crazy:lmao: but we still got "With Trust" we can still read. Don't rush it plus I know in the long run its going to worth the wait. So keep up the good work which I know you will rekop1 A Domaholic for life
Guest djd Posted February 20, 2006 DD is being annoying? Well, I think you should put DD over your Knee, pull his (its) pants down, and give it (him) a good spanking..... And then write a short story describing it all for us!
JamesSavik 24,852 Posted February 20, 2006 Maybe you should rent the 1999 movie "The Muse," with Albert Brooks, Sharon Stone Ugh. My muses never look like Sharon Stone. They show up at 3am, drunk and abusive, look like Walter Matthau and Brian Dennehy and barf on my rug. I want better muses.
Ann 0 Posted February 21, 2006 Whatever muse struck you with WT, keep it around! Loving the story, Dom!
GREEN 10 Posted February 21, 2006 Whatever muse struck you with WT, keep it around! Loving the story, Dom! Diddo but chapter 2 of WT and that last chapter of DD had brutal cliffhangers. I might have to go to GA rehab for a week because your stories are getting to me again. GREEN
buttershots 0 Posted February 21, 2006 I have to agree Dom. I loved your third chapter of WT. Definately my favorite story of all the one's that I have read so far!!! I can't wait to read the next installment. But yes definately don't rush, what is it...absence makes the heart grow fonder?? lol something like that. We will all be good and wait patiently...biting our nails. hehehe. Take care. - Kaiten
jagboi 282 Posted February 22, 2006 Take your time, Dom. I'd rather wait and have you happy with the chapter, than feel that you're putting out crap just for the sake of getting it out the door. I love the stories, they are a refreshing change, and quite captivatiing.
Lucy Kemnitzer 0 Posted February 22, 2006 With Trust really is as good as people have been telling you. You've taken the ideas and situations and feelings you've been working on and you've kind of re-folded them -- as if you were doing one of those origami setpieces -- so that the shapes that emerge are different in an interesting way, still of a piece with what you've been doing so far but also entirely its own. Harrison Polk is a good one too, and I am eager to see where it goes -- the third person is good: it helps that you're writing tight third where you're really right next to each character and not floating around as if it were a movie with multiple cameras (which can be good, but is harder for writers whose first impulse is usually first person). The alternating viewpoints thing does not always work for every story, but it works here, mostly because the boys are seriously thinking different things about the same events.
Tim the Traveller 12 Posted February 22, 2006 Also, I love musical muses. Sometimes I can get a whole chapter out of one line from a song (sadly, I can never remember what song it is when I
Guest Husky Posted February 26, 2006 Two things...okay maybe three. First, I know everyone hasd said it...so I guess I have to too. I like WT. It rawks my socks. Secondly, DD...on hold...Sucks. So sit back, relax, sip some coffee or cocoa or something and just chill man. If you push yourself, your gonna rupture something. Thirdly...The last chapter of DD was awesome. so uh....chill out man...dont over kill yourself and maybe since its saturday night..go out and paint the town.
glomph 8 Posted March 2, 2006 DD annoying? Well I found it so as a reader when it first started, though not as annoying as I found TOU. Maybe that is part of the author's method, to start an annoying story with annoying lead characters and separate out the true Domaholics who stick with it. Or maybe not. I think if I started reading TOU again, I might still find Quinn hard to take. Somehow I don't think that is true of Rory, even if I went back to square one. My current strategy for dealing with my Domaholism is to hold off starting WT. I almost gave in yesterday, but read the mistletoe story instead. That should hold me for a few days. I'm hoping that DD35 will come out before I leave town. I've decided not to take a computer with me, and another chapter would help make that easier to do.
