What is love?

I immediately thought of this tune from my childhood

This song immediately popped into my head when I read the title of the thread! Of course . . . I was out dancing to it in the clubs in my twenties then. :)

Edit: Sept '93 actually! So, I take back my age . . . It was early thirties. Yeah, I didn't give that up until late. :P

Better trust all, and be deceived
And weep that trust and that deceiving,
Than doubt one heart that, if believed,
Had blessed one's life with true believing.

Things base and vile, folding no quantity,
Love can transpose to form and dignity:
Love looks not with the eyes, but with the mind;
And therefore is wing'd Cupid painted blind:
Nor hath Love's mind of any judgement taste;
Wings and no eyes figure unheedy haste:
And therefore is Love said to be a child,
Because in choice he is so oft beguiled.
