rekop1 Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 I think you've outdone yourself, Kevin. Kitty I agree, Kevin is quite a character and I mean it in a GOOD way . You are awesome. Kelly Clarkson ...the only song I like from her is Behind These Hazel Eyes
Ibuprofen Posted May 8, 2006 Posted May 8, 2006 Joel Plaskett is amazing, I don't even have a favourite song, they are all good. I also like Our Lady Peace.
RISC Posted May 8, 2006 Posted May 8, 2006 "Mix Tape" or "Me vs. Maradona vs. Elvis" by Brand New. "I will lie awake and lie for fun and fake the way I hold you Let you fall for every empty word I say" - Me vs. Maradona vs. Elvis Those two were just off the top of my head. I don't think I could chose a favorite band or song though, there are just too many great ones out there.

PiperJon Posted May 11, 2006 Posted May 11, 2006 Pink Floyd! Favorite song..Nah, not possible, there are too many good ones. So many different styles of music, too, over the years. A couple of good ones.... Breathe, breathe in the air. Don't be afraid to care. Leave but don't leave me. Look around and choose your own ground. Long you live and high you fly And smiles you'll give and tears you'll cry And all you touch and all you see Is all your life will ever be. Run, rabbit run. Dig that hole, forget the sun, And when at last the work is done Don't sit down it's time to dig another one. For long you live and high you fly But only if you ride the tide And balanced on the biggest wave You race towards an early grave. And/Or Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day You fritter and waste the hours in an offhand way Kicking around on a piece of ground in your home town Waiting for someone or something to show you the way Tired of lying in the sunshine staying home to watch the rain And you are young and life is long and there is time to kill today And then one day you find ten years have got behind you No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun And you run and you run to catch up with the sun, but it's sinking Racing around to come up behind you again The sun is the same in a relative way, but you're older Shorter of breath and one day closer to death Every year is getting shorter, never seem to find the time Plans that either come to naught or half a page of scribbled lines Hanging on in a quiet desperation is the English way The time is gone, the song is over, thought I'd something more to say

Tom Posted May 13, 2006 Posted May 13, 2006 This was going to be a short post. I was going to just say Tom petty--Zombie zoo. then I started looking for the file in my MP3s and kept running into other songs that have more meaning for me personally so here is just a list of favs and why Howard Jones-No one ever is to blame---don't know who did it--Take these broken wings fighting depression for 22 years;these two songs gave me the strength to not let it win(ya suicide is stupid) and to let me heal enough to actually be happy about turning 37 today REO Speedwagon-Can't fight this feeling Dosen't everyone want to fall in love? Pink floyd- Comfortably numb Still love the song just don't feel the need to get that way anymore And any Classical music(Bach and such) soooooo relaxing oops guess I got kinda weird...{closing curtins so noboy can see in}...just ignore the man behind the curtian. must feel too good today
NickolasJames8 Posted May 13, 2006 Posted May 13, 2006 Pink floyd- Comfortably numb Still love the song just don't feel the need to get that way anymore I've been listening to The Wall non stop for about 3 days. Sometimes it's good to just lock myself away from the world and put the cd on repeat while I think
Demetz Posted May 13, 2006 Posted May 13, 2006 Favorite music artists are probably Three Doors Down, Garth Brooks, Clint Black, Neal McCoy I also dabble into some Beethoven, Motzart, and James Newton Howard
Boy In Doubt Posted June 10, 2006 Posted June 10, 2006 AVRIL LAVIGNE!!! Sorry for the caps. I love Avril Lavigne!!! "If you're trying to turn me into someone else it's easy to see I'm not down with that. I'm not nobody's, I'm nobody's fool! If you're trying to turn me into something else, I've seen enough and I'm over that. I'm not nobody's, I'm nobody's fool!" -Avril Lavigne, "Nobody's Fool"
exca Posted June 10, 2006 Posted June 10, 2006 It's definitely very hard to choose a favorite, if you listen to so many different kinds of music as i am But if I had to choose a few i'd say: Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Arcade Fire, System of a Down, Sigur R
Guest raz Posted June 10, 2006 Posted June 10, 2006 My favorite band has changed quite often, but right now it's Garbage.. they just have so many songs i love! My favorite songs would have to be: Garbage - You Look So Fine (beautiful) Garbage - Why Do You Love Me (grungy, attitude driven) The Cure - Treasure (so good.. killer violins) Jason Mraz - Song for a Friend (love the message/his voice/lyrics etc) Howie Day - Ghost (Especially the break) The Magnetic Fields - No One Will Ever Love You (So good! First band I heard with an openly gay member) The Magnetic Fields - I Don't Want To Get Over You Sia - Breathe Me (Very sad.. beautiful piano) Nine Inch Nails - Sin (Love it.. musically and lyrically.. Trent Reznor has a good voice) Conjure One - Extraordinary Way (Love the lyrics! Amazing) Jennifer Lopez - Es Amor (Great lyrics, beautiful voice.. love her, regardless of flack she gets) I also like some of the artists posted earlier, like Lifehouse - Blind + Everything Dido - Thank You + Life For Rent + White Flag + Here With Me Muse - Endlessly, Time Is Running Out, Plug In Baby, etc. Placebo - Sleeping With Ghosts, Johnny & Mary, Protect Me From What I Want, etc. Lol, as you can see, I really enjoy music. :pickaxe:
