Thanks for letting us know. At least I won't be worrying this time. Although I'm heading to England later this week. Gonna be staying at a sister's for about a week. Then a road trip to Germany. So maybe I won't be on as much, either. 7

And, living as I do in Ireland, I know a lot of Mary's as well Most of the Marys I know are gay men. My best friend calls me Mary sometimes... it's a term of endearment for a lot of gay men, as I am sure you know. 1 4 3

But I reckon she could have died a good few years earlier, as she had struggled with health problems for a good while. I think what kept her going was the fact that, when she was still at school, a fortune teller had told her she would live to be 82. It became a sort of self-fulfilling prophecy for her, and she died just a few weeks after her 82nd birthday. ❤️ Edited August 4, 2019 by Marty 1 7

He said he was looking forward to the telegram from Queenie (Queen Elizabeth II) on his hundredth birthday. Sadly, that didn't become a self-fulfilling prophecy as he only manage to get to ninety-two. (Mum was the English side of my family. Dad was Irish.) 2 4

Site Administrator Popular Post Valkyrie Posted August 4, 2019 Site Administrator Popular Post Posted August 4, 2019 This would be about how I feel right now, but I am beyond thrilled with how my model horse room looks. We got a lot more than I had anticipated completing, so I'm really happy about it. My BFF is on her way home, and I'm relaxing and catching up on all my internet stuff. 1 4 3

Although I'm reading reports of an enormous amount of litter having been left on the beach afterwards. Without wanting to sound like a killjoy, it's a real shame that people just won't take their litter home with them, or dispose of it sensibly... Brighton Pride: Beach covered with laughing gas canisters And I'm aware that it's not just pride events where this can happen. Many big music festivals, such as Glastonbury, or The Electric Picnic which I expect to attend at the end of August in Ireland, finish up with just as much, if not more, rubbish left behind at the end of them. 3 3 3

Hi Marty Yep it was a mess. When we made our way back to the train station from Preston Park I was tripping over all the trash left everywhere. The cleaners were just starting the clear up, I didn’t envy them the job. By this morning it was all cleared ready and safe for the family event. They even gave litter picking jobs (paid) to some of the homeless/street people, so at least some good came from it. 9

The house is nice though they still need to do quite a bit of renovating/deco as it seems the previous owners really really liked colors But from the terrace you have a full view of the Chartreuse massif which is breathtaking. Tomorrow I'm planning a small walk from the house by the small village down the road to a little river. It should take about 1h to 2h depending if we stop at the river or keep going to make a loop.
