He, or whoever was swinging the axe, butchered that tree. Not an even cut. Then it looks like a young tree. A hatchet would have been a better choice than an axe. Course that's not nearly as sexy a tool. Despite the plaid he's not a member of my herd.

Tomorrow is my student's last day   I'll definitely miss having her around.  I accomplished most of what I wanted to while she was around though.  The main thing I wanted to do was complete The Hollow Hills, which I've finally done!   The last two chapters are written.  30 will be posted as soon as I finish a couple more revisions.  31 needs some revising too, and I will post early next week    Now I'm free to work on some other projects, one of which is previewed in my upcoming anthology story    The other should start posting in February   So stay tuned...

Yeah, but I think he believes just because he swings a big tool he doesn't need to pay attention to the quality of the job he does. Skill is important to the finished job.
