Does anyone have a Christmas tradition? The only one I can think of as tradition in my family is eating leftovers and staying in the house. Not a special tradition, I know.

I'm going to make a batch of corn chowder to bring to Christmas eve at my mom's cousin's house tonight.  Then tomorrow, I'll get up and open my presents from my friends, head to my mom's for breakfast and to exchange our presents, then on to my aunt's house for dinner.

I'll make something with pan-seared shrimp for dinner tonight. Then evening church service. In the morning I'll make a veggie frittata for breakfast. The main meal will be at 2 o'clock. We're joining neighbors and friends at a nearby German restaurant. It has become a bit of tradition. It started when my step dad was still living. He and mum joined with two neighbor couples. After he died I suggested that mum and I go. This year another couple and a mutual friend who would otherwise be alone are joining us. The food is Bavarian and delicious. Dinner will be light. Leftover shrimp in a salad.

I have a metric ton of corn chowder simmering away for the potluck tonight.  My mom and I will go to my mom's cousin's house this evening and see family we only get to see once a year.  It started snowing while I was making the chowdah, so it's very pretty outside.

Morning, Nick, I think I'm ready, but there seems to be new stuff to do every minute. I think I'm going to go get some pine branches and make a couple more decorations.

  I spent a good part of last night helping him. We set up his Tv with the satellite receiver, and it wouldn't work... needed to be refreshed... so I called Shaw Satellite and did the automatic refresh... three times... turns out he didn't have the connection screwed tight enough. 🙄 Kids need their dads.

I saw some Scotsmen playing music in front of the stores in town yesterday morning. They were wearing kilts but unfortunately also long black coats that were hiding their legs
