Albert1434 Posted March 26, 2020 Posted March 26, 2020 Not so bad so far but I a bit worried about my food shipment 3
dughlas Posted March 26, 2020 Posted March 26, 2020 Two studies came out yesterday forecasting potential Covid-19 cases for SC. One done by the state another from the Univ of SC suggest that by May there could be 8-10 thousand cases in the state. SC has a population of roughly 5.1 million people. That would mean 1 person in every 510-637 people will contract the virus. How do I keep my mum safe? 2 1

dughlas Posted March 26, 2020 Posted March 26, 2020 While the governor of SC has not issued a stay at home order the two largest cities, Charleston and the state capitol Columbia have. Combined they have a population just under 1 million. 5

Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme ... Indeed I am. Although I remember singing the traditional folk song whilst attending primary school in the north of England, probably ten years or so before Simon & Garfunkel released the album with the same name in 1966. 6

I considered that possibility when I was typing my response. I'm not certain that I didn't also learn it at a similiar age. 6

She doesn't care for Madras curry, nor Thai red, don't know about Thai green as I don't do that sort. I have a nice Malaysian ginger curry blend but she's not fond of ginger. 4 1

Her father, my maternal grandfather didn't like spaghetti. He never tasted it, he just knew he didn't like it. Mum loves Italian, spaghetti, lasagna, stuffed shells, eggplant parm, pizza, etc. 4 3
Popular Post Marty Posted March 26, 2020 Popular Post Posted March 26, 2020 (edited) And, in other news... I managed to wire the new cooker, without electrocuting myself. You'll maybe notice a dirty streak on the tiles near the back left hand corner of the cooker. The cable from the old cooker ran through a bit of plastic ducting screwed to the tiles to connect to the wall socket. I decided it would be safer to run the cable for the new cooker through the side of the floor cabinet, and drill a hole in the work surface on top of it. I'll clean that tile tomorrow (the blue and yellow floor tiles are also in need of a good clean). Edited March 27, 2020 by Marty Clarification 3 4 1

She should not do any shopping and everything brought into the house, including mail, should be wiped down. This is a great video about grocery shopping: 1 3

I guess it's also part of growing up I was more thinking that, with all the social distancing that's needed to slow the spread of the virus, there's going to be more video-chatting (as opposed to actual meeting). 7
