Marty Posted August 10, 2020 Posted August 10, 2020 Good afternoon, all. Another dry and warm day here in the west of Ireland. Cloudier than the past few days, but there's no rain promised. Currently around 20°C/68°F with hardly any wind, so feeling a degree or two higher when the sun shines. The weather's promised to stay reasonably settled and warm for the rest of the week, but I'll believe that if it actually happens. I hope you all have a great Monday. 5

More so if the humidity is high as well, as that will inhibit the evaporation of perspiration, which is one of the body's way of trying to lose heat. Look after yourself, Albert. As I said to Gary: try to stay indoors or in the shade, and stay hydrated. If you are perspiring a lot, take isotonic drinks to replace the salts lost. Edited August 10, 2020 by Marty Tidying up 7

Hey, Marty. 27 minutes ago, Albert1434 said: Another day to as Gary said STINKING HOT 98F/36.6c Well if things are stinking perhaps the two of you should shower. It's not quite that hot here yet only 87/30° the humidity makes it seem 91/32°. The forecast is for it to reach the actual low 90's and feel close to 100. Additionally there is a warning for air quality in effect so overall not a day for me to do yardwork. The pup and are relaxing in the shade. 6
Popular Post dughlas Posted August 10, 2020 Popular Post Posted August 10, 2020 My son and his pup stopped by for a brief visit. The pup is truly a pup but an English mastiff/cane corso cross so she's a big girl and only about half grown. Fortunately she has a very nice disposition. She wanted to play with Thistle who really didn't think that such a good idea. They did greet each other nicely before I took Thistle in the house. This is the first time we've all met since they got Sloan while I was away. She has the fawn with black markings typical of mastiffs. Given time to mature and become less excitable I think she'll become a very nice dog. 4 2

I've cut my hair, shaved, and showered, I'll have you know. It is still disgustingly hot outside, but we are having a thunderstorm at the moment. All the cats look like they're drunk and passed out. I'm not doing any outside work either. 1 5

Their heads are truly massive. I knew one who was very aloof with everyone... everyone but me. He always wanted to sit on top of me. Such a suck. 5

Another hot one... feels like 36 already. Whatever happened to 70 degree summer days that went on for most of the summer? Guess they're gone for good. 6 1
