They are rich fruit cakes which, provided they are stored in a reasonably airtight container, would keep for at least three months. Indeed it would probably still be safe to eat a year or more after it has been made: Thanks for your answer. I've looked it up online and both fruit cake and marzipan aren't very common in France. 4 3

Very educational You did notice that the video begins with them clad in plaid kilts. You're also well aware that means they're ... MINE! Just 'cause my head aches doesn't mean you can poach. I may visit your herd from time to time for strictly platonic reasons but I never try to outright abscond with the lads. 6 1

We made fruitcakes about six weeks ago. They need to "age" a bit before they're at their best. Ours are lightly doused with Bourbon. I've been assured by two different households that the ones we sent them a gifts are excellent. Edited December 19, 2020 by dughlas 1 6

Since we don't care for it I've never seen reason to go to the trouble or expense. 6

I finished the last of mine from 2019 about a month ago and it was perfectly good. There is so much sugar and very little water. And they taste so good that you want to make them last 6

Popular Post Bucket1 Posted December 21, 2020 Popular Post Posted December 21, 2020 I must be moving down south rather than just heading off for a week... I seem to have bought a truck load of bits and pieces for the holiday and this just the extra stuff, fruit and veg I will get at the farmers market on the way there. I need a bigger car 5 2
