Considering the story is almost 13 years old, I'm sure the two boys (now men) should have got the result of their STI tests by now, and hopefully been given the all clear. Those very last two words of the article, though... "... hysterical girls" (and that was referring to NZ - not Oz) 6

He was born and spent the first months of his life outside and now spends like 3/4 of his days outside. Though usually when he's not in our house he's at the neighbors' and doesn't seem to go out of our dead end street. But he likes people. We've never had problems with cats being poisoned in our neighborhood in the past and no new neighbors so I hope it's just that she went farther away and cross path with bad people. But who knows, I hope it's not some psycho hanging around. 2 5

Popular Post Marty Posted March 5, 2021 Popular Post Posted March 5, 2021 (edited) I've had a busy 24 hours or so... First there was the Microsoft Teams meeting yesterday afternoon (which actually went a lot better than the last time I tried using Teams). Then last night I was busy remotely supporting a new volunteer for a helpline that I am involved with. I have spent most of today adjudicating a recorded Concern Schools Debate. Concern is an Irish based charity and international humanitarian organisation that 'strives for a world free from poverty, fear and oppression.' I have been involved, mainly in fundraising, with them since 2012, but also got involved in the schools debates in 2018. Unfortunately, due to Covid-19, the current round of debates are not actually being held in person in the schools, but the members of each of the two school teams are having to record videos of their speeches. They're currently in the knockout phase, and I received a link to the recordings of one of the debates yesterday afternoon, so have spent a good few hours today with headphones on, staring into a screen, and filling in marking and feedback sheets. I've now scanned in those completed sheets and emailed them off to Concern, so can have a few hours to myself. I was thinking of heading into the garden, but have decided that, as it's at least dry (if not all that warm or sunny), to take a walk within my 5 kilometre from home allowed limit, and see what's changed in the past week or so in my neighbourhood. I've an idea brewing in my head for a piece of Haiku, but need to see just what wild flowers are in bloom at the moment before deciding on the opening line for that piece of poetry...
