How's the extreme weather affecting the mare, Gary?

She's doing okay. She can always get shade no matter what time of day. I haven't seen her sweat up once, but she doesn't move around much.

Yesterday it looked like all the cats and kittens were dead out on the veranda... they were all laid out flat most of the day... today they are looking more animated.

I just came in from trimming more tree branches--I'm opening up the view to my paddock from the family room window so I can watch my mare more easily--yes, I am on a ladder sawing at branches  --and I am now nursing a big glass of water. Holy crap it was HOT. I did get overheated, but I'm done for the day... don't have to go out again until I snack my mare this evening.
