Just got back from brunch at Brasserie Amie. My son....ate escargot. He ate snails! SNAILS! I mean, I'm happy that he's adventurous and likes to try new foods, but why, OH WHY did it have to be snails?!

In all seriousness. I've no interest in trying escargot. I'm glad he's not a picky eater. The grandson of friends was very picky, at about the same age as your lad he'd only eat chicken nuggets. Stupidly his parents and grandparents let him get away with it.

Max wanted the appetizer (more like de-appetizer), but Morgan suggested he order the crepe instead. At least that way, the snails are hidden under the eggs. 

Oh, Morgan had the sandwich Parisian, and I had the blueberry blintz. It was very tasty...after I got over my initial shock at the snails.

With the crepe, the snails are the "filling". For the appetizer, they're typically served in the shell, like oysters.
