Hi All!  Went to have a follow up check up on the eye.  Doctor was very happy and I was thrilled.  She had used a new type of lens for the operation.  It was to correct for nearsighted vision.  When I tested there, it worked better than planned.  I now have both farsighted and nearsighted vision better than normal!  I can now both read normally, focus on tiny writing and see two lines below what is expected on the farsighted chart!  My other eye is scheduled sometime next week. (We have to wait on pre-approval from the insurance company to schedule the exact date.)  I also have to wait for a different lens, since now I am going to have the same correction on the left eye as the right eye.  No need to correct for farsight.  That is exciting because I will be able to have depth perception.  The other plan meant I would not have that.  I told two friends today, and now they want to do the same.  One has already had cataract surgery, but wants the new lenses.  The other has decided now is the time to get his done.  Sorry for such a long explanation, but I honestly feel like it is a miracle for me.  The one great thing going on in the world to make me happy is our medical advances.

Hi Clo!   How is your garden growing?  The tomatoes looked great!  At Albert's suggestion I am going to find out if I can get seeds for chives to plant in my balcony garden. 

Yes, I know Drew's on spree to increase his herd, but fair is fair.  He did put in a first claim.  I was surprised it took so long for anyone to claim that looker!  He was very hot!

The garden is still doing pretty great. The heatwave last week speed things up for the tomatoes but slowed them for the zucchinis but those are restarting nicely. I've started to pulled up the green beans plants and the new ones are starting to break the soil (I've learned last week you're supposed to change plants about every month cause after that they don't produce much and so are not worth keeping all the season so I'll need to plan better for next month). It seems the cherry tomatoes gave their all and are now done. 

You can do quite a few things on a balcony. My brother only have very long window sills but they have planters with chive, parsley, mint strawberries and a cherry tomato plant. They're very proud they've managed not to kill the poor plants

How are you and Aod doing? It's amazing about your eyes (I have ICL implants last year and had the same sensations as you about having a brand new vision)
