In france we have both. They're verry different:

• raclette: little slices of cheese - there can be different cheese like raclette cheese, reblochon, gouda, pretty much whatever you like - that you put in some kind of little pans under heat to melt then you pur it in your plate where there are usually little already boiled potatoes and charcuterie. The other way is to put a half raclette cheese under heat and every times enough is melted you scrape it.
• cheese fondue: in some kind of sauce pan/bucket you put to melt a mix of different cheeses with some white whine (depending of receipes) and when all is melted you pick some cheese with a little piece of bread on a stick. The tradition is that the one who lose their piece of bread in the cheese get to do a gage

Sounds good. Chicken Marsala with linguine noodles for us.  I never really liked chicken (or mushrooms, for that matter) before, but judging from the smell in the kitchen, I might try this recipe again.

We didn't have the record warmth of yesterday, but it was still a nice, mild day.  Tomorrow, on the other hand, we're supposed to get an ice storm just in time for the morning commute.    

 

I have my version of shepherd's pie in the oven.

This afternoon mom got a call about her PET scan appointment next week. The lady asked a lot of questions about her medical record, there were a lot of instuctions on how to prep for the exam and talk about the product they'll inject. When mom heard radioactivity she said it didn't sound reassuring the lady answer her "oh no it's safe, there's just a small dose of radioactivity, just enough to make you glow on the images"
