Yup.   The entry is done except for a shelf (I'm making it myself out of two and a half inch thick lumber, which I will round at the corners, and it's going to sit on two old corbels my daughter gave me. I also have to get old-school-type coat hooks and another boot tray. Such a relief to have it done. It turned out amazing and cozy with two reclaimed wood walls and a beautiful LVT floor.

We're having unseasonably cool weather with Christmas Eve and day forecast to be at or below 40/4° for the high temp. That's cold even for the depths of winter because the lows are forecast to be below freezing for a few days.

Hey, Dugh and Mum!  I hope the weather stays pleasant for you.

I saw the opthalmologist this morning. MRI results show no masses or signs of brain disease rather the lower eye muscles are in enlarged. As a result I cannot raise my eyes to a normal position. Likely cause, thyroid disease. I will begin a 28 day course of prednisone to hopefully reduce the inflammation. If that works I may be a candidate for a new medication to prevent a recurrence. The more worrisome thing is I seem to have developed glaucoma. After a brief improvement the pressure in my eyes was again as high as before I started treatment. I will be using two additional eye drops 3× a day in an effort to get things under control. Follow up in two weeks, a new sort of birthday celebration, hopefully one with good news.

It's going to be a rough three days up to Christmas here (including Christmas day) with cold temps and lots of snow. I hope it won't keep the kids from getting here.
