A lot of people wearing masks while I was shopping today, me included. Got all the way home and realized I didn't have the coat hooks I paid for. Called the store and they said, yes, they were there. The girl let me walk out without them, and thought I would come back in when I realized I'd left a bag.   It's Christmas, so I couldn't call her an idiot. I was in the parking lot for at least five minutes loading up bags of gravel and sand. Arghhhh.

Max and I made Christmas cookies today: peanut blossoms, candy canes, and Springerle (a traditional German shortbread shaped with decorative stamps). Tomorrow: gingerbread, pecan balls, and jelly thumbprints.

Not the most generous of gifts, but I'm sure Spike will get good use of the stud.  Of course the stud should be one of your best.  After all, Texans do know the difference between Choice and Prime meats, and Spike deserves the very best!

Actually I have a confession to make... I don't like veal, mouton, lamb, rabbit, duck or any meat you can hunt in the forest such as deer, boar, pigeon

But I could have steak every day for every meals
