I usually bake it once or twice a week, but this is the first I've baked in about a month. I've been busy at work, this contract is taking up more of my time than I thought it would. Fingers crossed it will be finished in about six weeks, and then everything gets back to normal. 🤞

I'm a self-employed retail consultant specialising in the jewellery and pawn-broking sector. Usually, I only work part-time and volunteer at a night shelter in my spare time and do the admin for them, the volunteering has its own rewards.

I enjoy my paid and unpaid work, both have inspired storylines for the stories I've written and probably will for a while. I try to take it easy to stop my doctor from moaning at me, most of my dialysis is done at home now so it's not too bad.

Hey Clo,  It could be worse.  My grandma used something like this to iron clothes.

This reminds me of our old washing machine. The wringer would pop up if you put too many clothes through it. I did all our laundry for those years my mother struggled.

So, it looks like I am now down to just two cats. :(  The tabby and white mom had disappeared now... something is picking them off, and all I have left is one young male who keeps crying nonstop, and the old male who can't see so never goes hunting. It's sad.

I don't know what's picking them off, but they leave no trace. It could be coyotes, or that cougar that lives a few kilometers away... or possibly a big, nasty raccoon.

Oh no, that's so sad... awful :( I hope whatever it is goes away. Does the one that cries would be willing to be inside maybe?

He's very skittish. He's the one cat (besides the old male) that I can't touch. I have touched him when he is eating with a bunch of cats, but he will slink away.
