It's an expensive thing to buy, a kilt on its own can cost upwards of £900. With all of the accessories and other items of clothing for a full outfit can easily cost £1,800 or more. Some outfitters will charge double that and more.

Oh wow I didn't think it was that expensive but in a way it makes sense. Maybe Gary' son can make himself one with the hotel's sheet then :gikkle:

He'd have to, because he spent a small fortune on a ring. Yes, an engagement ring. I didn't want to say it till it happened, but he just sent me a photo of the proposal. He was down on one knee, and the setting in Scotland was perfect. He's been planning this for over a year... the ring is two carats. She said YES!

Oh wow congratulations! What a beautiful proposal it must have been. You wouldn't happen to have another son hiding somewhere between 28-35 yo who would like to come live in France? Though I guess I could be convinced to move to Canada, at least in summer months :lol:

Unfortunately, my other son is going through a dissolution of his marriage. He's in no frame of mind for anything but worrying over his kids. :(
