Started yesterday but really picked up last night. This morning Looping was knocking at my window to be let in and a big gush of wind smashed his face in it! The forecast was for 80 to 90km/h winds inside to 100km/h to more on the north coast. Yesterday afternoon we went north to visite my grandparents and getting closer to the coast dad had to fight to keep the car in the right lane! But at least this morning it's sunny. Between heavy rain and the wind I haven't planted the raspberry plant in the terracotta pot outside yet but it's already got new leaves and little branches. Morning, Clo! Windy and rainy here too, but much milder... 6 C 5

March looks as though it's going to give us all four seasons weather today here in the West of Ireland, clo... So far we've had brilliant sunshine, complete cloudy conditions, dry, rain, driving hailstones, calm periods, strong winds (on the sort where you need heavy stones in your pockets to stop you being blown away). About the only thing missing seems to be snow - but there's time enough for that, it's only just past 12 noon... Morning, Marty. 4

But then America is a melting pot... And even more sad is the fact that the export of children was sometimes done with the collusion of the Irish State and the Catholic Church... They were basically sold to the highest bidder. And even after the State gained its independence! Continuing at least until well into the 1970's. If it were to happen today it would be called people trafficking. But in those days it was just a case of keeping the undesirables out of sight of the "good people" of Catholic Ireland. Not 3 kids, but we picked up 5 kids. Dennis and our social workers knew about 2 boys who was being fostered, but their foster family had issues. We had fun at the strawberry festival yesterday. 5 kids?!! Wow I'm surprised. Don't take it wrong cause I'm not doubting you and Dennis just very surprised but then I guess foster/adopting processes are very different than in France. But it seems to me like the social worker is dropping 5 kids on you just like that like a litter of puppies. 5

You would have to be classed as a group home to foster five kids all at once. I guess the US has different rules. 5 1
