It's currently 77/25° with tropical humidity and bright sunshine. I spent the morning doing a bit of pruning on mum's holly tree then spreading 9 bags of mulch around. Completed roughly a third of what needs done. Then a quick trip to the recycling center to drop off the trimmings for composting. Gonns shower and goof off this afternoon. Working in the heat aggravated a migraine I've been dealing with. The new meds help. While I still have them as often the intensity is improved. Last year at this time I would have a couple of days each week that I really just needed to take meds and rest. Now I have half that many bad days. Still, doing what I did this morning can cost me the rest of the day. The trade-off for my sense of self is worth it. Plus when folks come to dinner this Sunday the front of mum's house looks fresh and neat.

Someone needs to take him shopping for pants that fit. Because of my extensive professional experience checking waist sizes and the occasional inseam I think I am the best choice.

No no no, it's a pruning saw ... I have a folding version that I would take camping or use around the yard for those limbs to big for the pruners
