Hello all.. it was a nice day, until the typical late afternoon thunderstorms popped up. We had a power outage when a branch came down onto a power line up the street...🙁. Hope everyone's great...We are. Dennis is out picking up branches in the yard...

No damage to the house... mostly a lightning storm, but it lasted for an hour but a dead branch came down on the power lines...the only above ground power line in the area. Everything else is underground...Typical Florida summer weather...

I guess I get it from my mom who never cooked much when it is not, Dennis is the same..his family had salad (tuna, egg, chicken) for dinner or grilled meats. Ok...Dennis and I grew up in New England...there was a sugar shack the next town over... Syrup and maple sugar are good...

I, as a younger, didn't know that period, what you has to go through and I think most youngers have no ideas things like that were real and people's reality just a few years ago and it's kind of hard to imagine such a time as now it's just normal. It breaks my heart knowing you and so many other had to suffer, to hide and so much more, how many were broken.

I read just this morning a press article saying 1/3 of French people still have problems with gay people showing affection in public! People are okay with it as long as they don't have to "deal with it" in their faces. It makes me so sad and angry. Who cared! And I'd much rather see a gay couple holding hands or kidding than a straight couple trying to swallow each other tongue.

Also part of today fight is against a certain level of homophobia still present witj people showing it unconsciously like when they talk, I'm thinking of my mom for example who would say oh I'm sure he's a "pédé" meaning queer. Sure she doesn't mean it in a bad way (she'd love for me to be a lesbian having a great social and sex life instead of spending my evenings alone drinking herbal tea with my cat and crochet) but even if the word queer is use in the community it's still have a bad "taste". So I'm always telling her "gay not queer" and she says but it's the same thing. Or when people see a gay couple and can't help to be surprise, pointing, staring like this couple is some kind of curiosity. It's just two people, nothing to look at, move away! 

Ugh sorry for the rant, it's just imagining such a time is I'm just glad you came out of it and are here with us

 

As a libertarian, I just hope that people would stop being hateful. If Jordan and Kipp wants to be babies,  👶👶who cares, is it hurting other people? No. Yesterday, the local Naturist group got permission to have a top-free day on August 25th at a local state park. They interviewed some beachgoers at the beach for reactions and one lady said that her kids will be disappointed that they won't be at the beach that day because sexual perverts will be ruining the beach that day. Lady, the breasts are not a sexual object...it is used for breastfeeding babies...😠🤬

Most of the people interviewed didn't care.
