Chapter 36

-When Will and Marie stand in solidarity with John at the family dinner.

"It's My Life" by Talk Talk

I didn't know the No Doubt version was a cover until  I heard this on Cold Case for an episode set in 1985. Kinda surprised Teenaged Me because I have always fancied myself a 1980's pop culture historian. LOL

"Toxic" by Britney Spears

Chapter 51

-When Will and Travis go surfing.

"Wasting Time" by Jack Johnson

You do such a good job with this Jeremy!

For surfing, my mind always goes back to 60's surf music, but that's probably because I'm old.  🙂

I grew up on the East Coast less than 90 minutes from a beach, so I feel like I met a fair amount of beach bunnies in my life. The preppie ones looooovvvvvveeee Jack Johnson, especially the ones that are around Adam Phillip's age.

I'm more of a boardwalk person and walking on the sand than actually being in the water type. Somehow I managed to go 6 years without being at the beach but finally went again for Labor Day Weekend. It was kind of a trip.

The weirdest part about my time at Pittsburgh Metro region was realizing that I didn't see seagulls in the parking lot. In-land life was kinda weird to me, not gonna lie.

Awesome picks!  I especially like the Hairspray song, since that movie is what inspired me to start writing CAP.

I was at a performing arts high school in 2004. If people weren't obsessed with Wicked, they were obsessed with Hairspray. LOL

I recently saw a regional performance. Still really fun.

Chapter 82

-When Travis tells Will he's going on the run.

"I Will Always Love You" by Dolly Parton

And here I was, thinking that Will was going to have a generally drama-free relationship with Travis. LOL

I do get a kick out of how Mark has written JJ like he's in a 2000's romantic comedy, while Will is always written into the romantic life or death drama stuff.
