Popular Post BendtedWreath Posted May 6 Author Popular Post Posted May 6 Today is an overcast day in my neighborhood. It's a very gloomy kind of weather that would be perfect for filming a horror movie or a crime investigation episode. In contrast, I felt a surge of deep gratitude welling up from within, to the point that a single tear fell from my eye. Those who know me well understand that I tend to fight my sensitive nature (a remnant of growing up in a household where male family members' weeping was met with disapproval and seen as a sign of weakness). But, for once, my body's response to my sentimentality did not bother me. And, so, I wish everyone well. I have this guileless hope that the energy that has been overflowing from me on this day could be paid forward and sent to those who need it most... to my friends who are physically, mentally, and emotionally struggling these days. May you have even the slightest reprieve. That is my one wish. 7 Quote

I've really wanted to respond to this comment, probably in my usual sarcastic manner and try to find the joke. But this one sentence, gave me pause. Sometimes, the joke isn't always the right response. And since I needed some good thoughts last week, I say thank you! 2 Quote
