《Sigh!》 He's back! ( I'll let the reader decide whether the exclamation is for the good captain or our wonderful author!) I will admit when it seemed that his Lordships gaydar had failed and the nordic/germanic demi god was not to be his, I did feel sad for our hero. But it just shows that my leaping to conclusions was, as ever, wrong! So great to have Grainger back and physically restored, the best way possible. Even greater thanks to Graingers creator, lord and master, for this chapter and the promise of a few more. You have gladdened this (late) middle aged man's...heart. 😙👍

What a truly bizarre reaction to ANY story, let alone this one. Ill admit in trying to make sense of your response, I had to reread the story to see what I had skipped. I am not sure that i have ever seen a pre-teen tantrum in writing before. May you and your god be happy in your closed minded bigotry.

Northern Exposure: General Discussion
Canuk replied to Mark Arbour's topic in Mark Arbour Fan Club's Topics
May it be the first of many....(he says selfishly!😍) -
To misquote a statement above - a wonderful re-entry, possibly almost as good as the one our very dear Grainger is about to experience! I do wish Daventry well, and hope we have not seen the last of him. I have missed our randy, uber-capable, lucky and handsome sailor. As I have told my husband on several occaisions, my next husband will be the mirror of Captain the honourable Viscount Grainger! Thank you Mr Arbour for making our isolation just that little bit better (even with my second choice husband!)

The update has certainly given me hope....please Mr Arbour?😍

Great story. I am amazed Matt would even consider driving from hospital. I would imagine that not every person going through what Matt's going through would have the wonderful supporters he has. Thanks

For someone who doesnt do science fiction, you have me completely hooked! Your writing is truly excellent. I just hope there is more... lots lots more! Thank you for this journey.... thrilled to be part of it.

Delightful story raising an interesting ethical conundrum; if taking life is wrong, who has done wrong if the potential victim takes the life of their murderer first? Self defence.... un proveable, but we are not looking at a trial, just our own need to justify our actions. Secondly, gaining respectibility through murder is so very Rigby Taylor! Thanks!

I liked the different responses to the film. I have to admit I do not understand Simon's reponse at all; not every film is the Sound of Music and as for that scene with the shirts that was one of the most amazing demonstrations in any movie of the deepest love between a couple.

Hmmm..yes, like both major characters, but someone unpacking boxes and arranging furniture in my home...no! Waaaay too intrusive, verging stalker! So Johnny is eminently f'able, suckable and a won'erful toy....that sets off alarm bells for me rather than "bestie" vibes. Great writing! Enjoyable stuff...

Playing catch-up here, but why does Breeze just make me squirm just a little...too keen, too eager, just too... Unlike Simon who is just plain despicable! Ill keep reading and see....

I agree, however I think the initial plan was for a short jump in term of both time period and time duration. So the time jump he has taken is nothing he was prepared for!

Ha! Don’t tell me you have only just realised that Gay Authors authors don’t have lives; they have fans and readers! 😘

All brilliant points and adding to more drama...and then we get to Memphis! Excellent read. Your pacing is brilliant

Amazing chapter (despite geting no notification it had been posted....). I am glad you got Aubrey to see through Tom before the wedding. If it had happened afterwards it would have created just another layer of complexity! And Andrew is right; yhere is something about being with "the one" - it is marvellously different and better...🤗😋😍 Thanks

Great story. Thanks.

Well that was explosive! While the article and Andrew's reaction was great, the conversation between Aubrey and Earl and what one did under the pressure of "having" to write was beautifully done. Earl has really only been background, but we had enough to see him as more; a damaged survivor, his path illuminating more about Aubrey. Great read! Thanks

So platinum gay even in 2500bc! Finding a way to speak is huge. But I'd imagine it's a two edged sword; it would be way too easy to introduce unheard of concepts... As for his return - he is way more optimistic about his situation than I would be! Fascinating read! Thanks
-
Well, that's certainly one way to get over a break up! Bulk unsatisfactory sex and drinking to get drunk.... And yet it's all so uncessary. If dear Andrew could stop the self humiliation for one split second, he would realise that Aubrey is marrying a cheating liar on the rebound. If this "marriage" comes off it will be because neither Aubrey can get over his blindness and Andrew can't get over himself. All that said, I am glad we did get to see Andrew at his low point; made for interesting reading. 😋🤗😊 I am pleased your characters don't resort to drugs other than sex-addiction and alcohol. Thanks great read. Very enjoyable writing and plot.

Well they got their bar, but the animosity may cause issues...great drama! Thanks

Great and original start! Looking forward to more! (Aren't readers bastards? Looking for reward for almost no effort! Doesn't stop me!) Thanks😁

Amazing writing. You make it all so good and nearly there with picket fence on the horizon...and then it isn't! Thanks!

I have never understood the reaction to a question by a child, sibling or similar of the "what do you do in bed". "Use your imagination" has to be the worst advice imaginable! I do understand that no, no matter who asks, I am not going to talk about what my partner and I do in bed, but responding, "what I do is between me and x, however generally men who love each other will suck/rub/ kiss" to a level of detail appropriate. All that said, for a person going through the medical procedure to have the support Mattie has must be brilliant. And even if you disagree, what does support and compassion cost you? Interesting and fun, thanks.

"A few things happened"; fit men doing yoga in next to no clothing and getting all hot and sweaty...yep, tends to make a few things happen! Paying it forward is nice. Apart from the act itself, that a person takes the time to notice is also a good thing. Families and their agendas; not my or my partners experience, but know enough people who had/are having experiences like that. I just do not get it. Great read. Love the slow burn...thanks

I'd imagine he needs to be careful of the wife. Something tells me she may not like her husband blowing his valet! Enjoying this...Thanks
