I get the feeling that Kat's "Thompson 2" and Aubrey's "Thompson foundation" articles may not align...exactly! Two likeable characters with flaws... great read. Thanks
-
Well, well, well,a journo who drops the ball! Fascinating where this could go. The problem will be the lows..they will be v bloody low. Both have audiences that will amplify it all. Much fun to be had...for us readers at least! Thanks

Hmmm...so he just may, lots of emphasis on may, be a nice journalist...but... Very intriguing back and forth, without being in Aubrey's head, I'd suggest he revealed just a tad more than he wanted to. But he also saw that Andrew may just be a little more of an open book than he suspected. Great read. Well written. Thanks.

Good journalists live, breathe, eat, sleep and drink journalism. There is no such thing as a "casual conversation" with a journalists. I have met many who are truly delightful people, but anything and everything you say including please, thank you, hello and good-bye is stored to be produced as an when they need it. Andrew is in very dangerous territory. Great read. Like the insights into Andrew.

Great start, but...I don't think I am going to like Aubrey much, well not until he moves out of his Save The World bubble. Really looking forward to next chapters, as I type this I have another 3 to catch up...wonder if Aubrey improves??? 😁

Don’t Say You’ve Never Done Anything For Me
Canuk commented on Laura S. Fox's story chapter in Don’t Say You’ve Never Done Anything For Me
Well that was dramatic. Aiden is going to need a new job, and hopefully Heath's numbers will pick up when he leads the " truth brigade" in an investigation into the company and its misleading claims. How the Aiden/Heath relationship survives this..not So sure. I'd hazard you have a few curves before we get to the desired for ending! Thanks -
So the next installment for us Grainger whores ... fanatics, is in "a bit" . Being a mere Canadian/Australian, I am unaccustomed to this measure of time. I can all but hope it is akin to the Australian "bloody soon"....😁 Love the ingenuous, cunning, sexy bastard!

A great second chance, if he doesn't torpedo himself with self-doubt... Hopefully a stable and open family will help him realise he has a base, a base that won't go away regardless of his mistakes and his stumbles.

Steph's comments on ageing were somewhat close to the bone; I too am that age and yes, the world does look different for that perspective, however not being quite as financially successful as Steph, plastic surgery and private jets are not part of my world! Other points re partners, family and perceptions are very close.... Great writing. Thanks for making me feel my age....😕 😗

Drinks And Trolls Won’t Break My Bones
Canuk commented on Laura S. Fox's story chapter in Drinks And Trolls Won’t Break My Bones
Can both these idiots be sent to lessons on how to communicate? They seem to have words, but not much idea how to use them constructively and certainly no idea what to do with the other persons words. As for the whole missing ingredients... If you drink fresh water, pod your own peas and buy fresh chicken, little or no unwanted ingredients at all! I suspect in the product Heath is being asked to promote there may be some subterfuge. Unfortunately it's going to be difficult for him to "come out" and declare his failure to investigate products has promoting without blowing up Aidens career and damaging his own brand. Really looking forward to the next chapters! -
Labor Day Weekend - Part One

Great ending. I must say I never warmed to the twins. Drew, however was a masterful character., really sympathetic, his coming to terms with himself and his lovers was interesting and emotional. He really transformed and grew through the story. Thanks

This family could do with a good solid dose of monogamy! It is getting to the point that I forget which character I am supposed to hate....and for what reason.🙃😁😘🤐🤣😄🤔

Meet The Stones (And Some Pebbles)
Canuk commented on Laura S. Fox's story chapter in Meet The Stones (And Some Pebbles)
"Surprised" doesnt even begin to describe how I feel. Wacked into a star-trekkie future would be "surprised"...this is out of the ball park amazed, confused, read-it-a-second time stunned! As for the "I'll shake it up in the future".... really? Authors are very scary people.... their minds very dangerous.... Amazing writing... I may comment when /if I recover... -
A lot of trauma for one weekend...and not just the hurricane! One question: "teak", obviously not the same timber we call teak here in Australia. Here teak is very heavy, dark red/brown timber, so dark that the grain is almost invisible, but also extremely waterproof. Doesn't soak up water even after months of submersion. The timber you describe sounds like it absorbs water easily, but dries out, too. Is it local to the Carolinas?

Nope, he be yours... with our best wishes. 😘

Must be the hardest thing in the world to give up your children. Mine are mid 30s and it still seems weird they are not around all the time. So to be separated as teenagers.... hideous. I don't get the motive of the grandparents... trying to regain lost time with the daughter? Some sense of familial obligation? Or a religious mania? I can't believe it's for the betterment of the child...

Two peas from a pod fighting over semen stains. If JJ had wanted to come out of this looking the mature togther one, he did not send that email.to that distribution group. That makes him no better than Steph. Great writing to get us debating the feelings reactions and responses of fictional characters. Thanks. So looking forward to more!

The actions of kings and leaders with supreme power ( and wannabe sole supremos) are truly whimsical. It's as if there is no plan, just the latest thought that guides their actions. It's amazing so many of these countries achieved/ maintained greatness. Our hero did manage to negotiate his way through the court, not easy to do with such a leader seemingly without plan or purpose. Daventry's skills are better used when he's trying to out smart his enemy with facts and figures and an understanding of the rules of the game as it has historically played, however with this wannabe autocrat, it's harder, as there is no plan except, seemingly, stay in power. Great to read re our friend Mr Grainger. Many thanks.

History? Jealousy? Something more nefarious? Something has certainly upset him.... Thanks

"A little"... nope, dearest author, a lot!, a bloody lot!😁 Just when things were moving beautifully.... The promotion sounded somewhat halfhearted, tho knowing nothing of the industry, "junior copy boy" may be a good thing! Looking forward for best ever make up sex inn the very near future! Thanks

Beautiful memory of times past with a hint of sadness at what could have been....

Speaking from experience, it neither saves time nor money to " do it yourself" after a fire. Get the professionals in and in 48 hours the place will be gutted and cleaned ready for the rebuild. A business cannot be out of commission for long otherwise even loyal customers change their habits. While bloody disaster for his business, it may be the focus that brings them together. Great writing, except for the "the end" prank; that sent my blood pressure up just a tad!
