whimper... this chapter has reduced me to incomprehensible mumblings... so good. must have more. I MUST! I MUST!!! I ache for Quinn, I see so much of myself in him it's frightening. Does anyone else feel this way? And finally, good for Marissa, she's giving Quinn what he deserves. He never even gave her a chance. //shadows

Weird, I thought it was Heart as well even before I saw your post. I'm guessing "Crazy on you?" Hmm, I really like Heart. I need to go figure out the meaning of Barracuda someday, //shadows

Personally, I think johns is the best candidate for this... -
Fool! Pirates are not the way. Ninjas are the future. Without ninjas the world faces a certain death from attacking pirates. Join with me my ninja bretheren. We will fight ALL THE TIME!!!! When's the last time you saw a pirate flip out and kill someone? All pirates do is tell lame jokes. Ninjas have the power... REAL ULTIMATE POWER May the FSM bless us in our endeavours. //shadows

Oh, man, I'm glad you're not writing the next chapter. All the same though, I'd love to see a full-length story from you, I bet it would be very very twisted. //shadows -
[DomLuka] TOU Chapter 17 - it's here
shadows replied to Cris L's topic in Promoted Author Discussion Forum
Yes, I get to wait, and ponder the insanity that is slowly enveloping my soul and mind and wondering why you must always always end on a cliffhanger. It isn't good for me.... *wimper* You're raising my blood pressure and I'm only 17! And, I've developed a nervous tic. Of course, that may be due to another things, but still. All right, beyond my insanity, nicely done, nicely done. If you don't mind my asking, why aren't you published? Have you at least tried? You should, your stories are so much more captivating, true to life, and well written than most of the "gay youth" tripe that gets published. You know, if you only released the rest of TOU in book form, I'd probably risk outing myself just to read it... Anyway, I'm off to the tea party. //shadows -
I lack all of them. Somehow I don't think that that's surprising. I really want to know how snow is going to do on this though...

Breathe? Open my eyes? Yell at the annoying voice coming from the door and giving me long lists of things I need to do that day? First voluntary and non-reflexive action (well, it's debatable) is I turn over, grab my computer case, open it, take out my computer and hit my bookmarks? Addicted? Hell yes! I love it. //shadows

hey, welcome! It's always nice to have people under 25 here. Even if you are straight. And are of the opposite sex. I kid. This group can be slightly insane, so I'm rather surprised this isn't on your mom's block list. And good for you for visiting a library. Libraries are awesome places. Speaking of which you need to do something about that. I'd go insane if I didn't have my internet access. You need it to do research I'm sure and all sorts of other important things. Unless you're happy with only having an hour in which case you're just weird. Or not a geek. There really isn't that much of a difference //shadows (one of the gay spastic 17 year olds on the live chat)

Hey Nickolas, since you are young I thought I should warn you to stay away from the insidiously evil types around here. In particular you should stay away from Conner (make sure you spell his name right or he gets mad) and Michael (Rocketcnj, he passes out the rainbow jellybeans that are laced with something). They may seem sweet, but it is more like the gingerbread house from Hansel and Grettle. Those around here who have the proper attitude are Mark Arbour (if he is ever allowed to post unmoderated again), Vic (naper_vic)) and of course myself (Snow Dog). If all else fails, trust Sharon (sat8997) because she is always right (or so I am told). Have Fun and Don't talk to strangers :king: Snow Dog the Domaholic Danderthal <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Welcome Psst. Don't listen to snow. Listen to those who are closer to your age. The elders are plotting against us. By the way, want some jellybeans? //shadows

not to many shadows at night shadows, but I agree with you. You always pick the Cheery verses. snow dog <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Meh. but the night is when the shadows are deepest. Actually, night is when the earth is covered in shadows and it's the light that is surrounded. And yeah, the only reason I knew about that verse was because someone told me that "wailing and gnashing of teeth" was in the old testament (and thereby there was the concept of Hell in the Old Testament) and I didn't have a concordance to check and when I checked I was mad since that's the only reason they won the damn argument. James, I still need to finish that book. Honestly, I wasn't sure who to root for, the vampire or the lawyer, it's hard to figure out the lesser evil. Silly bloodsuckers //shadows

Not the morning. Ugh. Humans were not meant to be awake at 9:30. And I have to start getting up at 6:30. Matt 8:12 seems to be a rather suitable description of what I'm feeling right now. aaargh. In response to your question happy I prefer the night.

Yeah best of luck to all you students. I pity you greatly. Not as much as I pity myself though... Yeah, and to those of us who haven't finished our summer reading. Ah well, at least I have another 11 days to read Madame Bovary, Crime and Punishment, No Exit, and Hamlet. And I have almost no free time. *whimper* //shadows

A lot of people would go insane and most of us would tear out hair and scream at people in frustration.

Looks as though the person injured most seriously was holding one of the ruckasacks in which the bomb went off. Doesn't appear as though anyone has been killed. I'm willing to bet that this is a copycat attack rather than another determined bid by Al Quaeda. That's just a hunch though. Best of luck to the Londoners. //shadows

At least they weren't talking about YOUR sex life... My dad can be downright cruel, without ever realizing it when he's talking about me. There's embarassing and then there's humiliating... If I had a significant other... just ugh. The next time they do that, I suggest you ask them for tips. If that doesn't stop them and make them realize what they're discussing I suggest you take vaper's advice and run //shadows

I have no shame. I beg for Snow's return He really is just such an aewsome person. He really cares about people he's never met, and it shows in everything he types. He's brought a smile to my face more than once, and I know he's made everyone here feel better. He certainly has made me. Where are ya Snow? You're sorely missed! //shadows

I finished it and loved it. It was a beautiful book. I'm thinking it's edged out book 3 as my favorite. I would've been sobbing if I hadn't already suspected the ending since the past two books. As it was, I was misty-eyed. This book was just really beautiful. The funny parts were funnier, the scarier parts were scarier and just the whole range of emotion just came across so clearly. We need to start a spoilers discussion thread of Harry Potter in a few days (if we start it sooner, the weak-willed will be tempted to read it before they finish) so I be more specific. But, oh, man the 7th book should be just spectacular.

I ask this because I'm in one of my bleaker moods and I suppose I'm fishing for hope that if you don't come out by say, age 18 or so, you're not destined to be a total reject for life. I essentially have no social experience dating other guys, or even talking to other guys and it's starting to get to me. Yeah, that and realising my best friend and his girlfriend make out during Willie Wonka was also somewhat depressing. I want to be able to do that someday... Damn small towns, catholic schools and closets. Yeah, so back to the question, at what age did you come out and why? Did you wish you'd done it earlier or later? //shadows P.S. I don't expect any responses this weekend as I know you'll all be reading HP VI

You're joking right? That's sarcasm, correct? *Hugs signed copy of Harry Potter 1 close to his chest* I'm not a fanatic like a few of my friends, but I've been a fan of it since way before it became popular in the United States. This new book sounds really good, but depressing and my mental stability is rather tense so I don't know if I should be reading it now... meh. //shadows

Oh, darn, can't believe I forgot about the musicals. I haven't acted in one in like 5 years but I can still sing you the songs for "Return to the Forbidden Planet," "The Music Man," "Annie," "Into the Woods" and I can hum along to most of Grease (I was stagecrew for that one). It's so stereotypical, and I hate it, but ah well, that's me. //shadows

I have mostly Japanese pop and rock music. (Don't knock it, some of it can be quite good). I find that having the vocals in different languages allows me to concentrate while studying whereas english vocals merely distract me. There's a few good trance-esque bits, "Inner Universe" by Origa and "Salva Nos" from the anime Noir are really good. I tend to listen to the Pillows which I term "happy rock." My favorite song by them is probably "Crazy Sunshine" but "Hybrid Rainbows" is also pretty good They did the soundtrack for an anime called FLCL which was random but good (The anime I mean). Another good group is Two-Mix who also tend to also have really upbeat and fast-tempoed sound. They try and squeeze in the max beats per minute possible per song. I'd reccomend "White Reflection" which is the background music to the end of "Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz" If you're interested in listening to any of these songs or artists check out gendou.com Free account and you can download a bunch of mp3's. Don't ask me about legality but the music is hosted on Apple's servers and the site has been running for over a year (possibly more) now. That said I have a bit of The Beatles collection (I've had strawberry fields stuck in my head for the past two days), The Eagles and a smattering of Pink Floyd. I like jazz but I tend to not listen to it that much as I don't have much in my collection and the radio station that used to provide it had its signal range cut in half. Oh, and I have fondness for Beethoven's 9th and Hayden's Messiah but I don't listen to classical music that much. It's not that I don't like it, it's just it requires time to sit and listen to and I tend to have a short attention span. And there you have it, more than you ever wanted to know about my musical tastes. //shadows
